Hanukkah, oh Hanukkah, we’re rocking out for the second night of Hanukkah!
To continue the festive merriment to celebrate reading, both paper and digital, I have a collection of historical romance with some historical fiction mixed in.
All you have to do to win is leave a comment, and I’ll select a winner each day. These contests are open to international winners, and I will do my best to ship this week, provided people send me their addresses promptly.
Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. If anything, my gift is exceptional support of the United States Postal Service (Happy Hanukkah, US Mail Carriers!). Jewish people eat jelly donuts, known as sufganiyot, on Hanukkah, which is stone cold awesome. Double knots are best for tennis shoes.
Ahoy! Contest the second!
On the Second Night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches Gave to Me: A massive selection of historical romance!
Just leave a comment below, and tell me which one you’d read first, or which one you’d give as a gift, and you’re entered to win. Comments close in 24 hours, but fear not, there’s another book – paper or digital – giveaway coming soon. Because Hanukkah lasts for eight crazy nights, and I have not yet eaten enough sweet potato latkes.
Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Reading!

I’d read the Jo Beverly book first, and then plow through all the others at warp speed. It’ll be the only thing that would help me keep my sanity through year-end statements.
The new Eloisa James? Yes please!
I think I’d start with Ten Ways to be Adored although it’s a tough choice!!!
What a wonderful collection of books. Thanks for the contest.
I’d read The Devil Wears Plaid, just love those Scots. And then Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord because I’ve been wanting to read that one too. I’d give A Kiss at Midnight to my sister as a gift, since I’ve already read and adored it.
Rules of Engagement for me. The Devil Wears Plaid for my sis-in-law who’s obsessed with all things Scotish.
Have a Happy Hannukah, have a Happy Chrismahannakwanzaka and a Joyful Festivus, if thats possible!
So much Man Titty to choose from!
I’d probably read Pirate’s Possession first, but my eye is also drawn to competing heaving bosoms/man titty on the cover of Holt’s Dreams of Desire
Oooh, I loved the Caroline Linden, so I’d (re)read that first!
Catherine
I would read A Kiss at Midnight by Eloisa James followed by a close second The Duke’s Night of Sin.
I would read A KISS AT MIDNIGHT 🙂
I’d definitely read Teresa Medeiros first—I really really really miss her.
Have to start with Susan Enoch because I love her writing.
Oooh, look at all the purdy covers~
I don’t know which one I’d read!
I’d read Ten Ways TO be Adored…. first, as I loved Mclean’s previous too-long-titled book.
Oh, it would most definitely be A Pirate’s Posession. I love me some Pirates.
Would love to win this, of course!
Rules of an Engagement. Parasol power!
Without a doubt, The Devil Wears Plaid. Want it so bad.
Seven Nights to Forever, please!
His Christmas Pleasure.
What the heck? Tis the season and all.
Rules of Engagement first, just for the mildly different cover! Gotta love the parasol.
The first book in this collection I’d read would be the Evangeline Collins because I’ve been wanting to read it since reading the SBTB review. The Kathryn Caskie and Cathy Maxwell are on my to buy list as well.
I’d give away “The Season of Scandal” by Christie Kelley, “Rules of an Engagement” by Suzanne Enoch, “Ten Ways to Be Adored …” by Sarah MacLean, “You Only Love Once” by Caroline Linden, “The Devil Wears Plaid” by Theresa Madeiros, and “A Kiss at Midnight” by Eloisa James because I’ve read them already!
My favorites – historical romance! I’d probably read the purplicious one first. 🙂
ooh, I think I’d read the Allison Chase first. I’ve had a hankering for some historicals lately!
Oh, Seven Nights to Forever, are you kidding me? I have GOT to see if that organzasm is actually described in text.
I would totally gift Medeiros “The Devil Wears Plaid” first. That book was amazing! I absolutely adore historical romance 🙂
I would read “Emily and the Dark Angel” first because Jo Beverly is one of my favorite authors and I’ve loved her trad regencies so far.
Worth dropping in just to find out there’s a website called Jewniverse….
And how appropriate is it that my captcha on this Jewish holiday is mother58…
The Caroline Linden would be first for me because I’ve heard so many good things about her books and I’ve not read her yet.
I’d read the Devil wears Plaid first! I’ve wanted to for so long….
The Devil Wears Plaid, for sure.
Sarah MacLean’s would be first because I really enjoyed the first book (9 ways to romance a rake -?is that the right title?)
I love historicals!
After the great comments about the cover of Seven Nights to Forever, I would have to go with it first. I’ve never read any of these authors & would like to know why others love their writing.
word: married49 – well, not yet, but we hit 32 years last week & I sure hope to get to 49
Gotta start with Eloisa James – love her!
I have been looking forward to the Sarah Maclean book since I read the last one!
The Devil Wears Plaid, definitely have to go with the historical romance that spoofs a modern day movie title.
