Hanukkah, oh Hanukkah, we’re rocking out for the second night of Hanukkah!
To continue the festive merriment to celebrate reading, both paper and digital, I have a collection of historical romance with some historical fiction mixed in.
All you have to do to win is leave a comment, and I’ll select a winner each day. These contests are open to international winners, and I will do my best to ship this week, provided people send me their addresses promptly.
Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. If anything, my gift is exceptional support of the United States Postal Service (Happy Hanukkah, US Mail Carriers!). Jewish people eat jelly donuts, known as sufganiyot, on Hanukkah, which is stone cold awesome. Double knots are best for tennis shoes.
Ahoy! Contest the second!
On the Second Night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches Gave to Me: A massive selection of historical romance!
Just leave a comment below, and tell me which one you’d read first, or which one you’d give as a gift, and you’re entered to win. Comments close in 24 hours, but fear not, there’s another book – paper or digital – giveaway coming soon. Because Hanukkah lasts for eight crazy nights, and I have not yet eaten enough sweet potato latkes.
Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Reading!

Seven Nights to Forever. Ever since the cover was discussed here I have been dying to read it.
Ooh, The Devil Wears Plaid. I’ve been thinking about picking up a copy of that.
I’d start reading Christie Kelley’s Scandal of the Season. I love the Spinster Club series. Great contest. Thank you for the opportunity to win
Wow! That’s a lot of books, and I have none of them. Yay! I’d read the Devil Wears Plaid first because it’s been on my to read list for a long time but I haven’t gotten to it yet.
The Devil Wears Plaid. I’d definitely read it first and then pass it along to a friend second!
Oh! This is easy. I would gift the Eloisa James (I’ve already read it) and read the Theresa Medeiros. I always enjoy Medeiros, and some of hers are among the best romance ever written (IMHO).
The only author I’ve read is Jo Beverly…so I wouldn’t mind being introduced to any or all of the other authors.
What a great selection and hard to pick one but I would probably start with Teresa Medeiros ‘The Devil Wears Plaid’ just because the title sounds like fun and I haven’t gotten a chance to read it yet.
I think I’d start with Outrageously Your’s. What’s not to love about cross dressing, lab experiments, and love combined?
What a great contest! Thank you for the chance to enter. I’d read Ten Ways . . . by Sarah MacLean. It’s on my “to buy” list. I’ve read the Jo Beverley, so I’d give that to a deserving friend.
I’ve been wanting to read the Evangeline Collins one (especially after the reviews I’ve been reading), so I would start with that!
If I win this lot, I think the first book would be a toss-up between The Devil Wears Plaid because I’ve heard so much of this author but have never read any of her books, or the Caroline Linden one because ever since the review of What a Rogue Desires here on SBTB (which I promptly went out and bought for my Kindle) I’ve been very interested in her books!
Thanks for this chance to win such cool stuff!! Fun!!!
I’d read The Devil Wears Plaid first because I love Teresa Madeiros even though I can’t spell her name. I’d probably go with Rules next because the cover rocks. I always give away my books so once I read them all I’d share with my friends.
I would give my mom her pick ‘cause she loves romance—and she’s the awesomemest mom who ever awesomed. (I’ve no idea what I’d read first, though. The first page of all of them, perhaps, to see what grabbed me.)
A Pirate’s Pbsession looks right up my alley…
Definitely A Pirate’s Possession.
With a title like that it could only inspire me for my wicked awesome pirate/crossdressing romance novel.
And I am 26 different kinds of serious about wanting these books.
I’d go with Outrageously Yours first, because the cover is purple and green…my favorite colors!
Oh, Seven Nights of Forever, definitely. Purely for the “organzma.” (Which may go down as the best ever re-title in SB history!)
I’d read The Devil Wears Plaid first, because of the SBTB review, and gift the rest to my mom. Historicals are more her thing than mine.
I’d read The Devil Wears Plaid first, because for some reason I missed that one when it came out.
Thanks for the contest!!
They all look good, but I’m going to have to go with A Pirate’s Possession.
mmmmmm.. latkes. Totally tasty and bad for you.. like the dude on the cover of A Pirate’s Possession. That’s the one I would give away as a gift. I am not sure what would be more fun: reading the book, or talking about those airbrushed abs with my friends (while mowin’ down on some jelly donuts, of course).
I’d give away (but read first) Teresa Medeiros’ The Devil Wears Plaid – because it’s about a Scotsman (yea!) and I must introduce as many people to Scots-lust as I’m humanly able.
I’d read “His Christmas Pleasure” first, followed by “Outrageously Yours”.
I’d read the Devil Wears Plaid!
Dreams of Desire. Cheryl Holt is a goddess.
Dude, Orgazasm is CLEARLY the first book of that set that I would want to read. And the notion of giving one away? Well, it physically hurts. We do not share the books unless we’ve already read them and we know the friend who wants to borrow them won’t break spines, dog-ear pages, or spill anything on them. Yes, I realize this is obsessive but teh bookz!
I would read 10 Ways by Sarah McClean!
I’m a sucker for the Scots, so I’d read The Devil Wears Plaid first.
Scandal of the Season by Christie Kelley!
I’d read A Kiss at Midnight first!
Of all of them… 10 Ways to be Adored While Landing a Lord!
I’d go for Emily and the Dark Angel because Jo Beverley rocks!
Holy popular contest, batman!
I am drooling over such a huge stack of books. Wow oh wow.
I would definitely read “Seven Nights to Forever” – I have to experience the Organzasm for myself!
for me it would be a toss up between the holiday books (to get me in the proper holiday spirit) and Ten Ways to be Adored because I almost picked that up the other day, but I can not risk the temptation of a new book in the house when finals are so close…
rest26: yes I would like to rest for 26 days before the start of next term
I swear, just seeing that many books and having to decide which I would read first actually gave my heart palpitations! I think I would read The Devil Wears Plaid first, or maybe not! This is way too much stress!
I love Sarah MacLean! I would definitely read Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord first.
I’d start with the coversnark purple one!
I’d go with the sure thing first. It’s been ages since I read Emily and the Dark Angel and all I remember is that it was good.
I would read Seven Nights to Forever.
