Smart Bitches Hanukkah Festival Giveaway: Part Two!

imageHanukkah, oh Hanukkah, we’re rocking out for the second night of Hanukkah!

To continue the festive merriment to celebrate reading, both paper and digital, I have a collection of historical romance with some historical fiction mixed in.

All you have to do to win is leave a comment, and I’ll select a winner each day. These contests are open to international winners, and I will do my best to ship this week, provided people send me their addresses promptly.

Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. If anything, my gift is exceptional support of the United States Postal Service (Happy Hanukkah, US Mail Carriers!). Jewish people eat jelly donuts, known as sufganiyot, on Hanukkah, which is stone cold awesome. Double knots are best for tennis shoes.

Ahoy! Contest the second!

On the Second Night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches Gave to Me: A massive selection of historical romance!

Comments close in 24 hours, but fear not, there’s another book – paper or digital – giveaway coming soon. Because Hanukkah lasts for eight crazy nights, and I have not yet eaten enough sweet potato latkes.

Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Reading!

the cover of Outrageously Yours appeals.  I can never resist powerful fountain imagery… all those shooting jets…so evocative and…well, inspiring.  I hope it is honesty in advertising!  As a gift, I’d go for the Eloisa James, because she never disappoints, and everyone loves a fairy tale!

  2. LisaJo says:

I’m all over the Caroline Linden because she recently sent me an ARC of her “A Rake’s Guide to Seduction” for FREE! I enjoyed the heck out of it and look forward to another from her. And then the Eloisa James, and Theresa Medeiros. After that, I’m thinking I just grab whichever is handiest.

than75: yeah, I have more than 75 books. Closer to 750, than 75 as a matter of fact.

  3. Nadia says:

I’d give The Devil Wears Plaid because I already have it in the TBR closet.  And I’d read Seven Nights to Forever, because, hey, purple.

  4. MD says:

I’d read “Emily and the Dark Angel” first. I’d give away “A Kiss at Midnight”, mostly because I am not a big fan of Eloisa James, but I know other people like her.

  5. Beverly says:

I would probably read the Suzanne Enoch book first because I like her books and that cover is very cute.  However, I also have a friend who loves Jo Beverly’s books, so I might have to give that to her first.

  6. Ahlison says:

    I suspect I’d start with Linden…

  7. Lorla says:

Wow that’s a lot of books! I would read the Sarah MacLean first, as soon as I finish her other book Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake, which happens to be sitting next to me right now.

  8. Liz says:

i’d read His Christmas Pleasure first since I am in a christmas-sy mood.  gotta prepare for the holidays somehow. lmao

  9. Dena says:

I would give the collection to my mother, for Christmas, as she’s a voracious reader who just lost a lot of her book collection due to a bathroom flood!  (She had her books packed in preparation for a move, and in her closet, which is alongside the bathroom, so when the pipes went boom, the books got soaked.)

If it were me, I’d read the Beverly Jenkins novel first.

  10. JF says:

hmmmmm, I’d like to think I’d wrap up the lot for my favorite aunt to read while she recovers BUT I may have to lighten the parcel by a book or two for myself. . .

  11. Jill L says:

His Christmas Pleasure….been waiting for that one to come out!

  12. Galadriel says:

Oooh, I think I’d start with The Devil Wears Plaid, and I think A Pirate’s Possession would make a fantastic gift and perhaps add weight to one side of the age old question: Pirates or Ninjas? ^_^

  13. Alaina says:

I’d read His Christmas Pleasure first. Because, duh, it’s seasonal 🙂

  14. miska8041 says:

I want to win them all!

  15. MikMC says:

I’d start with Outrageously Yours . . . because I want to know what’s so outrageous about it. I would give The Devil Wears Plaid to my Mom, as I already have that one and she can’t read it on my Kindle.

  16. Malin E says:

I’d read A Kiss at Midnight by Eloisa James first. I love Cinderella-type stories, and really liked Eloisa James’ Duchess series.

  17. Bea says:

Oh so many good choices! I’d probably read “Emily and the Dark Angel” first. The cover caught my eye. 🙂

  18. Joanna S. says:

I’d start with The Devil Wears Plaid because men in plaid are just dead sexy…unless its golf pants.

I would actually give them all away as gifts – eventually.  My friends and my mom have a read and recycle book club wherein we constantly mail books to each other in big, honkin’ boxes.  When they come it’s like Christmas!! 🙂

  19. KimmieB says:

I would read His Christmas Pleasure first, because there ain’t nothin’ like Christmas Nookie.

  20. Camilla says:

scandal of the season…I love Christmas books, and the cover is gorgeous. Plus, I have read many of the others already……..

  21. Sparrow says:

I’m gonna go with “A Pirate’s Possession” because, well, PIRATES.

  22. KathyB says:

Let’s see… I’d read Seven Nights to Forever (all because of the cover…not, but the story sounded really good and I want to read it) and would gift A Kiss at Midnight ‘cause I’ve already read it and loved it!

  23. Beck says:

Outrageously yours, because the colours on the cover are so pretty and when I was younger I would have loved a dress like that

  24. AmberMc says:

Oh, I’d give my mom a copy of Rules of Engagement by Suzanne Enoch. I loved that book. It’s Bradshaw Carroway’s story. So good!

  25. jessica says:

I would read that Cathy Maxwell book first!  I’m really trying to buy fewer books but I really want to read that one!

  26. Joani S says:

Thanks for the great contest!! I think I’ll have to go with The Devil Wears Plaid as my first reading choice. How can you go wrond with that title?!

  27. Tamara Whyte says:

I’d give Rules of Engagement as a Christmas present because I just finished reading it and I loved it so much I didn’t want it to end. =)

  28. Julia says:

I’d read Devil Wears Plaid and give away Kiss At Midnight. KaM was good and i’d want to spread the love.

captcha: district 93. How long would the Hunger Games have gone on if this were true?

  29. Vita says:

I’d definitely go with the Caroline Linden novel, as she’s a new author to me.  And she has had some wonderful recommendations!

  30. Sycorax says:

In retrospect, I retract my comment/entry. My RSI is too bad for me to read paper books often.

  31. Rachael says:

I would read 10 Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord first, I think. The title alone is delightful!

  32. GrowlyCub says:

Definitely Seven Nights to Forever for me.

  33. misti says:

Oh gosh. Want. Want soooo bad! I would totally read Pirate’s Possession first. I’m a TOTAL sucker for pirate romances and there’s sadly not too many out there! I mean, I’ve read every Darlene Marshall book on the market, and all the Jennifer Ashleys….

  34. Staplegun says:

I’d read Rules of an Engagement by Susanne Enoch because I’ve been meaning to read one of her books, but just haven’t gotten around to buying one.

  35. Vicki says:

Vacation or not, I would be happy to read them, would probably determine the order by lottery as they all look good.

  36. Kimberly R. says:

I would read the Sarah MacLean book first! I hope I win!

  37. Angelique says:

A Kiss At Midnight!  I love Eloisa James!

  38. CaroleM says:

Definitely You Only Love Once…because it’s becoming increasing apparent to me that this is true, and god help you if you screw up and marry the wrong guy.  Just sayin.

  39. Dawn Green says:

I would read the Teresa Medeiros first and give away the Eloisa James, but only because I’ve already read it and loved it!!

  40. Nico B says:

Ooo…ummm, I would start with that one. No, that one…err, this one…..
