Hanukkah, oh Hanukkah, it’s not getting old yet, the candle lighting and the present opening and the awesome fried foods!
So, let’s bring in more festival merriment to celebrate reading of both digital and paper books with yet another giveaway! I have a collection of urban fantasy, science fiction, and paranormal romance. It’s kinda huge. Huge like a sword that’s twice as long as three heroines, all wearing leather pants with just a hint of muffin top.
All you have to do to win is leave a comment, and I’ll select a winner each day. These contests are open to international winners, and I will do my best to ship this week, provided people send me their addresses promptly.
Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. If anything, my gift is exceptional support of the United States Postal Service (Happy Hanukkah, US Mail Carriers!). The tallest candle in the menorah is called the “shammash,” and it means “helper.” It lights the other candles, unless you drop it. Then it’s helping you burn yourself. Many bags look like, but most menorahs, or menorot, look different.
Ahoy! Contest the fourth!
On the Fourth Night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches Gave to Me: A massive selection of urban fantasy, science fiction and paranormal romance!
Just leave a comment below, and tell me which of the outfits pictured above you’d like to wear (I want the one from the Zoe Archer cover because I am COLD) or which paranormal/urban fantasy clothing item is your fave. Come on, someone loves those leather pants, and The UF Belt (which I’ve now seen on shoes, bags, even headbands. Seriously. Whatever is coming to destroy the earth, we’ll look silly, or good, defending it). Comments close in 24 hours, but fear not, there’s another book – paper or digital – giveaway coming soon. Because Hanukkah lasts for eight crazy nights, and we are only HALFWAY done with the crazy up in here!
Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Reading!

Can I just wear one of the guys?
I pick the Lynsay Sands cover because really all she’s wearing is him and I’d be really okay with that. 🙂
That girl on Afterlight has some pretty sweet tats. I’ll take those. Does that count?
I would like one of the gowns from CL Wilson’s series, for purely impractical reasons!
Thanks for the giveaways this week! 🙂 Happy Holidays!
I’d like the outfit on the cover of Married with Zombies.
I’d have to go with the Zoe Archer outfit as well, it’s ridiculously cold here.
I like the tattoo on the back in Afterlife. But I think the arm tattoos are overkill 🙁
I want the back tattoo in Afterlight, of course I’d need to have her body first 🙂
Married with Zombies clothing looks like they have style!
I want the Afterlight tattoo… but barring that, since it’s not actually clothing, the Crown & Crystal flame dress it totally the right colour for me!
I’d choose the outfit on the Jesse Petersen cover… what can I say? I’m 52 and that’s about the only outfit shone that I could possibly get away with…
I’d go with the outfit on Wolfsbane…love long and flowing.
I’ll take that guy’s outfit on King of Sword and Sky. So much more practical than most of the women’s clothes, and it’ll show off cleavage.
Definitly crown of crystal flame…I am not really suited to leather and stuffs, but gvie me Medieval/Renaissance Fantasty goodness anyday!
I like the dress on Crown of Crystal Flame. Very pretty!
Hmm. Is she wearing ribbons of light? I’m thinking I might enjoy that, so Goddess of Legend it is.
Definitely the leather warrior oufit on the cover of Crowded Shadows…:-)
The Crown of Crystal Flame dress, because I secretly wish I could go out in public in something like that and no one would stare. I wish I had a whole closet of such clothing.
And my Prom Dress was reminicent of this in cream colored velvet from HotTopic. Hey, at least it was formal? These Days girls are wearing Coctail dresses and bikini top two pieces with a tulle shaw and calling them formal wear.
I want the outfit on the Elle Jasper cover as long as it comes with the ink. I am in LOVE with all the ink that heroine is wearing.
I’d like to wear the clothes on the Patricia Briggs cover. Those pants and boots look sweet! (:
Married With Zombies – those heels are wicked!
Happy Hannukah! Are you tired of scrubbing the oil off of your stove yet? I love the latkes, but I’m hating the cleaning.
I love the ink. I wish I was brave/foolish enough to get a huge tattoo, I just keep thinking about what it will look like when I’m 80. And aren’t Jews supposed to avoid the ink?
I dig the dress on the Crown of Crystal Flame. Reminds me a bit of my wedding dress. 🙂
Oh I love Lynsay Sands!
The outfit on the cover of Patricia Briggs book looks comfortable. Some of the others are pretty but the long sleeves on some of them are so impractical…
Probably the cover from the Queen of Songs and Souls… I am currently praying to the random number gods
I’d pick the outfit on the Wolfsbane cover if I had to choose.
I like the *Crown of Crystal Flame* dress. It’s a bit like the dress I wore to a friend’s Renaissance-themed wedding, except mine was red. It also had laces up the back, which were quite a trick to tie without an accompanying Renaissance-themed lady’s maid…
The sleeves on the C. L. Wilson covers could be a spoof of Willow Smith’s “Whip Ma Hair”. “I whip my sleeves back and forth, whip my sleeves back and forth, till I get DIZZY!” I could those sleeves.
I like the cover of Marjorie M Liu’s book because seriously…who wouldn’t want to wear a Merman?
I don’t care, I’m just looking for something to read!
I love the candles… can I win one please?
The Wolfsbane outfit. I love the shirt!
I’m all for wearing the guy in Demon after Dark. I mean seriously – hubba! 😀
The Patricia Briggs one definitely! I like to think that I could pull it off. Those pants even kind of look like jeans so it isn’t too insane. Oh I love sci-fi romance!
I like leather pants as much as the next girl, but I really like that dress on the cover of Queen of Song and Souls. I’m a sucker for the big crazy sleeves.
I will go with the Married with Zombies cover because I think axes make good accessories.
Definitely the outfit on Queen of Song and Souls because I cannot resist giant bell sleeves. They are to die for!
If I had the body and the tattoos … Afterlight, for sure! lol
Rebel, however, is more practical both for the fact that I don’t have that body and the fact that it’s been snowing all dang day here. Brrrrr.
I would wear the outfit from Queen of Song and Souls. It’s very pre-Raphaelite, with its contrasting patterns and flowy sleeves.
