Hanukkah, oh Hanukkah, it’s not getting old yet, the candle lighting and the present opening and the awesome fried foods!
So, let’s bring in more festival merriment to celebrate reading of both digital and paper books with yet another giveaway! I have a collection of urban fantasy, science fiction, and paranormal romance. It’s kinda huge. Huge like a sword that’s twice as long as three heroines, all wearing leather pants with just a hint of muffin top.
All you have to do to win is leave a comment, and I’ll select a winner each day. These contests are open to international winners, and I will do my best to ship this week, provided people send me their addresses promptly.
Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. If anything, my gift is exceptional support of the United States Postal Service (Happy Hanukkah, US Mail Carriers!). The tallest candle in the menorah is called the “shammash,” and it means “helper.” It lights the other candles, unless you drop it. Then it’s helping you burn yourself. Many bags look like, but most menorahs, or menorot, look different.
Ahoy! Contest the fourth!
On the Fourth Night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches Gave to Me: A massive selection of urban fantasy, science fiction and paranormal romance!
Just leave a comment below, and tell me which of the outfits pictured above you’d like to wear (I want the one from the Zoe Archer cover because I am COLD) or which paranormal/urban fantasy clothing item is your fave. Come on, someone loves those leather pants, and The UF Belt (which I’ve now seen on shoes, bags, even headbands. Seriously. Whatever is coming to destroy the earth, we’ll look silly, or good, defending it). Comments close in 24 hours, but fear not, there’s another book – paper or digital – giveaway coming soon. Because Hanukkah lasts for eight crazy nights, and we are only HALFWAY done with the crazy up in here!
Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Reading!

I’m going to go with the Patricia Briggs cover, though I am tempted to pick the Zoe Archer cover since I just spent half an hour shoveling snow and scraping ice and snow off my car. Happy Hanukkah!
I’ll wear the guy on the Day of the Dragon cover. Or else the leather pants plus the top thingy from the goddess one…
Definitely the blue dress on Crown of Crystal Flame. I have a weakness for those terribly impractical, but oh-so happily flow-y sleeves. I would also like to wear the man in leather she’s clinging to, please and thank you.
C.L. Wilson’s Queen of Song and Souls. Love the main characters of the book.
I have to go with the dress on Queen of Song and Souls. I could come up with an excuse to wear that dress even if I had to throw a party specifically to do it.
I’m going to go with the Goddess of Light outfit. Because it’s just awesome.
I think the only outfit that I could pull off would be the dress on Crown of Crystal Flame. It’s pretty and I like the color.
I think, I’ll go with the Patricia Briggs outfit. I like those boots.
I’d have to go with the heroine’s dress on the cover of C.L. Wilson’s Crown of Crystal Flame.
The leather pants from Afterlife, but it’ll have to wait until I’ve put in some gymtime. Too much Thanksgiving, not enough cardio.
I’d go with the tats in Afterlight and the sexy back to be able to pull it off. ‘Cause if you have a sexy back, you don’t need no stinkin’ shirt apparently. 🙂
Hah. Spamword: body32. Yes, that body is 32 times nicer than mine.
I’d like the lady’s outfit on the cover of the Crown of Crystal Flame because that is my kind of fancy dress!
From what I can see, the Patricia Briggs cover looks to have the most wearable outfit. At least it’s made of more than swirling ribbons and mist, isn’t soaking wet and sparkly, and includes both a bottom AND a top. (Always a plus, I think.) Accessorize with whatever cover hero you prefer and voila!
I would totally wear the criss-crossed rays of light from the PC Cast book if I could get away with it.
Afterlight was the first one that grabbed my attention because clearly nothing says you mean business like letting it all hang out, amirite? However, I think you may encounter some occupational hazards with that one.
But personally, I’d choose the nicely tailored lady suit on the cover of Married with Zombies. As a wee one, I’d always prance around in my mother’s pantsuits & pretend to be a budding professional. That being said, the hatchet better be part of the deal or no dice.
Otherwise, I’ll have to go with Boobs McGee’s stunning outfit or lack thereof. At least the pants look…well-fitted?
period37 – Thirty-seven?! This better be some sort of joke.
My inner ren-faire queen wants the dress on the cover of Crown of Crystal Flame, but I must speak up in favor of the UF Belt. I have one, and let me just say, be they fairies, beasties, or suspiciously attractive law enforcement professionals who don’t quite believe in this magical malarkey, everyone takes pause before messing with a girl in a UF belt.
First of all, I want the body to wear one of those outfits. Paranormal cover models always have the flattest bellies!
I’d wear the dragon tattoo from the Rebecca York cover – love dragons! Otherwise, the suit from the Zombie cover is nice.
It amazes me in para/uf how many main characters have to have special weapon harnesses made to fit their “insert special need here.” Tiny waist for weapon belts, too broad or too narrow shoulders for weapon harnesses, too long or too short legs for hidden knife sheaths, etc…..
spam word: market28 there would have to be more than 28 markets to meet the demands for service
I want the backpiece and hair of the Elle Jasper cover.
Labor35… it would probably take more than thirty-five minutes of gym labor to have that body.
Am I alone in thinking that the girl on Goddess of Love looks an awful lot like Lady Gaga?
I would probably wear the Wolfsbane costume, because girlfriend is wielding a pretty baller staff.
I want one of those awesome tattoos that take up a quarter of the upper body and still looks like every other tattoo on every other book.
I want also want the outfit on the Zoe Archer cover. I’m sitting here watching it snow outside and anything warm is looking good right now.
I’m only famliar with Lyndsay Sands, the other urban fantasy titles sound interesting. Good for cozy reading.
I want to wear the outfit on the Elle Jasper cover!
If I had to leave the house, the outfit on Rebel would definitely be the coziest. If I got to stay home, I’d like to wear the man from Demon from the Dark, please.
I’m not a dress kind of girl so I would go with the leather pants and I am certain my hubby would love them.
I would wear the oufit from Wolfsbane because I love the boots and I could use the big stick when I go holiday shopping!
I like the one from Crown & Crystal Flame.
Have I mentioned that you are awesome? You are!
Given age and body type? I’d have to go for the dude’s duds on Christine Kiernan’s book, THE CROWDED SHADOWS. It would definitely cover up all the jiggly bits and pieces and provide protection. Then again, my body could be an effective weapon against the bad nasties. Eye bleach anyone?
I want to have the tattoos of the girl on the Afterlight cover just so I could justify walking around topless like that. The leather pants and the knife would be nice too…
I’ll take the dress from the Queen of Song and Souls because it looks both comfortable and flattering. If I had to pick a favorite UF fashion item, it would have to be boots of kickassery.
Isn’t there a picture in which one of them is wearing nothing but a naked man? Yeah. That’s the outfit I want.
We’ve just gotten two inches of snow in a night so definitely the outfit on Zoe Archer’s Rebel! Though the outfit on Wolfsbane looks pretty comfy too – and cute, what with those boots.
I think I would go with the pants/boots from P. Briggs Wolfsbane. I would have to add another shirt over my bra though 😉
Sam
My favorite the women’s leather vest—you know, the one that is cut like a vest from a man’s suit but more fitted? It’s not on any of these covers (surprising), but I think it’s found more on romantic urban fantasy type covers.
Oh, the Crown of Crystal Flame outfit, most definitely. It looks like all of my childhood fantasy dress-up outfits rolled into one. 🙂
The dress on Crown of Crystal Flame – I look good in blue and those sleeves make me squeee!
I like the dress on Queen of Song and Souls. I have such a longing for one of those kinds of dresses with the huge sleeves and the loose belt. They’re so pretty. Plus I like the colors.
the ones from Rebel…..brrrr it is December after all
