Smart Bitches Hanukkah Festival Giveaway: Part Five!

imageHanukkah, oh Hanukkah, you’re still delicious, but I’m a little tired of latkes.

But that’s ok: Han Solo is here to help. Thanks to Mama Nice for that awesome graphic. image And you know what never gets old? Free stuff! Today: another book collection, this one courtesy of Simon & Schuster, who have compiled a bunch of December books for your reading pleasure. All you have to do is leave a comment, and I’ll select a winner each day. These contests are open to international winners, and I will do my best to ship this week, provided people send me their addresses promptly.

Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. If anything, my gift is exceptional support of the United States Postal Service (Happy Hanukkah, US Mail Carriers!). Oy is just Yo backwards. Do not taunt happy fun ball. Not valid where prohibited by law or by that huge guy who stands at the door and decides who is cute enough to get in. That guy sucks sometimes. Do not write below this line. Falling rock. Still Slippery When Wet. No, that doesn’t get old.

Ahoy! Contest the fifth!

  1. Renda says:

I would have overanalysis paralysis so I would just put them all in a bag, shake it up and draw one.

    Thanks for the fun.

  2. Karen H says:

Karen Hawkins’ One Night in Scotland (I’d pick something else but I have already read the other favorites—our library gets a real workout from me).

  3. J says:

One Night in Scotland because I love Karen Hawkins!

  4. Pamk says:

I read the Sherrilyn Kenyon’s book and giveaway all the historicals since I don’t read those.

  5. JAGL says:

The Year of Living Scandalously because I’ve always wanted to read a Julia London.

  6. Joan says:

I think I’d start with A Hellion in Her Bed and gift the LLMiller book because she’s not a favorite of mine.

  7. CaitlinD says:

I’d start with Julia London. Christmas historicals are the best, I’d give away the rest to share the love.

  8. KateC says:

Earl of Darkness for me as a first read. I wouldn’t be giving any away though, at least not until I’d read them first.

  9. Shelly says:

I would read “The Year of Living Scandalously” – b/c that title is so intriguing.

Sure, it probably just refers to having lots & lots of raunchy sex – but in my head, that title has all the makings of an elaborately plotted Audrey Hepburn movie.

  10. Katie says:

I’d read A Highlander for Christmas first and give away Linda Lael Miller’s to a friend of mine who loves her books as an early Christmas gift.

  11. Holly G says:

I would share these with my best friend (after I grabbed the Julia London, of course) – since she has three teenagers (two girls/a boy) in the house including a foreign exchange student.  With her husband laid off and only she is working to keep the family going – she told me all she wants for the holidays are a couple of good romances – something to give her a mental holiday to recharge her during the winter. …this totally fills the bill.

  12. Rachel R says:

Definitely the Sabrina Jeffries. I’d like a hellion in my bed too!

  13. John says:

A Highlander for Christmas.  What’s better than getting one of THOSE under your tree?  Nothing.  Except maybe if he had some amazing chocolates with him.  😛

  14. Jaime says:

The Kresley Cole/Gena Showalter one would be my first read.

  15. kathleen says:

Since I won’t be home for Christmas this year, I would choose Linda Lael Miller to read, Julia London’s The Year of Living Scandalously to give away.

  16. Maria says:

Blood Trinity (The Belador Code) because she never gets old.
and I would give away Julia London’s The Year of Living Scandalously, Ive read it already..

miss28: why yes I do. Thanks for asking

  17. Beth says:

The Year of Living Scandalously. Definitely.

  18. elianara says:

I would read One Night in Scotland or Deep Kiss of Winter first.

I would share all books with my cousin, she’s a big romance reader too. And after that, I would keep my favorites, and the rest would go traveling as bookcrossing.com books.

  19. peachgirl says:

A Highlander for Christmas.  Yes, please.

  20. rayvyn2k says:

I would read Earl of Darkness first, then devour all the rest. After reading, I might share, but not before!

Spam Word: move99—I’d have to move 99 other books to make room for these…but it would be so worth it.

  21. Jinx says:

I’d read Earl of Darkness first, I think.

  22. Hanne says:

I would read Kresley Cole – Deep Kiss of Winter. Love her books 🙂

  23. I’ve already read Hellion in her Bed and loved it, so I’d probably read the Julia London first.  Looks yummy!

  24. rebyj says:

    Deep Kiss of Winter!

  25. Christine says:

I would read A Highlander For Christmas because that cover is amazing!  Meowza!

  26. Jennifer U says:

    I SO love that graphic!

I would really love to read the Kresley Cole book.  I’ve never read a book by her and everyone keeps recommending them!

  27. Min says:

Has to be the Sabrina Jeffries – been hanging out for the next one in that series

  28. Janet S says:

Kresley Cole – because I never have. Awesome contest, thanks!

  29. P. Awful says:

I would totally read the Kenyon, and I’d probably give away the Linda Lael Miller after reading Banner O’Brien far too many times way back when.

capcha: herself69 oh, my. I don’t think many women have tried this one.

  30. Amanda S. (ManaChelle) says:

I have been wanting to read Earl of Darkness by Alix Rickloff and My fair Succubi by Jill Myles..really I want to read all of them besides the Kresley Cole one and the Gena Showalter one because I have them 🙂 I get them as soon as they come out in both of those series!
Also, I would def. loan them out to my friends as soon as I was done reading them.

  31. Bea says:

First, I LOVE that Han Solo/Hannukah pic. Utterly awesome

Ok, which one I’d read first?  Probably the Julia London. I’ve never read any of her books yet but I follow her on FB and really enjoy it.

I’d probably end up giving away all or most on my blog eventually. 😛

  32. Shivani says:

Gena Showalter would probably be my first read.. what an awesome giveaway.. I totally want to win this!

spamword: want27 – I’d totally want this 27 times over

  33. angela says:

I would love to read the antho Haunted by Your Touch and I’d probably give away at least one of the others – maybe.

  34. Dr. Strangelove says:

Probably because I’m an exhausted surgical intern but the Aching for Always makes me wonder if the lady doesn’t need some steroid therapy or something.

  35. AndieG says:

I’d probably read “Achhing for Always” first because the title intrigues me and I like the cover art…the author is not familiar to me and it’s always fun to read someone new.

  36. Kaelie says:

I’d read the Kresley Cole one, and probably give away the Linda Lael Miller.

  37. DreadPirateRachel says:

I’d read The Year of Living Scandalously, because that is a bitching title, and I love the cover, too.

  38. Lisa N. says:

I hadn’t read any of these books, but I would probably read the Christmas ones first.

  39. peggy h says:

I’d read the Christmas-themed books, and the anthologies (sometimes I just want a short read but actually finish the story!)  Hmm…I don’t know if I’d give any away.  Not without at least trying it out first….

  40. Susan Laura says:

I think I would start with Laura Griffin’s “Unforgiveable” because I have been looking forward to that one. Thanks –
