Hanukkah, oh Hanukkah, you’re still delicious, but I’m a little tired of latkes.
But that’s ok: Han Solo is here to help. Thanks to Mama Nice for that awesome graphic.
And you know what never gets old? Free stuff! Today: another book collection, this one courtesy of Simon & Schuster, who have compiled a bunch of December books for your reading pleasure. All you have to do is leave a comment, and I’ll select a winner each day. These contests are open to international winners, and I will do my best to ship this week, provided people send me their addresses promptly.
Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. If anything, my gift is exceptional support of the United States Postal Service (Happy Hanukkah, US Mail Carriers!). Oy is just Yo backwards. Do not taunt happy fun ball. Not valid where prohibited by law or by that huge guy who stands at the door and decides who is cute enough to get in. That guy sucks sometimes. Do not write below this line. Falling rock. Still Slippery When Wet. No, that doesn’t get old.
Ahoy! Contest the fifth!
On the Fifth Night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches Gave to Me: A big ol’ selection of some December 2010 and holiday romances, with something for every reading taste: some to keep, and some to give to friends (or keep them all, I won’t tell).
Just leave a comment below, and tell me which one you’d read, or which one you’d give away, and you’re entered to win. Comments close in 24 hours, but fear not, there’s another book – paper or digital – giveaway coming tomorrow and another chance to win. Because Hanukkah lasts for eight crazy nights, and you need things to read or read on during the holidays, right? Right. Of course.
Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Reading!

I need to wake up earlier!
I’d probably read the Kresely Cole title first, I’ve been wanting to read it, but am too cheap to buy it!
I’ve been wanting to read A Hellion in Her Bed
Mmm. Look at all the beefcake.
I’d read the Julia London first, because I like the title. And since I have no room for a bookshelf, (seriously, y’all, I’m living out of boxes in a 8×10 room here) I’d read them all and then pass them on to friends.
I would definitely read the Sabrina Jeffries book first—I’ve wanted to read it since it came out.
Hmm… I would probably read the Kresley Cole, because I haven’t had a chance to read anything by her yet, and have heard many good things about her. But,really, I might well just pick one and dive in.
I’d start by reading the Julia London book.
I’ll start with one night in scotland, because I am going there in february for a weeklong holiday:)
I’d like to read A Hellion in Her Bed.
The first one I’d read would be Laura Griffin’s Unforgivable, to be followed closely by the Karen Hawkins and Julia London books.
Linda Lael Miller first. Apparently my MIL loves her books, and I’ve never read one. Must be corrected!
I would read them all (the Highlander one first though!), then give them all to my local library. They need the variety more than I do.
The cover of Unforgivable pulled me in and then when I read the blurb I knew I would want to read it. It sounds so good. Win or Lose I think this book just moved the top of my must have list.
It would have to be the Highlander for Christmas. I’ve been missing one of my early Harlequin Intrigues, set in Scotland, lately.
The Jeffries book is already in my reading queue, so I would read it first. But the others would quickly join the (ridiculously large) stack of books I plan on reading over winter holiday 🙂
I would give away A Highlander for Christmas, because my friend has a thing for Highlander romance novels. So it’d be the perfect Xmas gift for her. Besides, that book wouldn’t be happy in such a big pile. After all, there can be only one.
so many choice, again. (i have to say, I would probably collapse from sheer excitement if I received a bundle of books like this, let alone won it.)
I would gift “One Night in Scotland” to a dear friend of mine who is dying to move out there.
I would pick up and read Deep Kiss of Winter first, if only because I have dreams of a cold winter for once. California just doesn’t cut it for me at 50*F lows.
A Highlander for Christmas, because thats exactly what i asked for this year.
Hmm, I haven’t read a single one of these. Which would you recommend starting with?
I think I’d read Ms. Jeffries Hellion book first.
Sam
I’d give away “A Hellion In Her Bed” b/c I’ve already read it, and would read “Deep Kiss of Winter” first b/c I love Kresley Cole.
Showalter’s Ecstasy in Darkness. It looks Haaaaawt!
The Kresley Cole book would be top of my list!
I’d have to start with the Julia London. It’s been on my list for awhile and I’d be ecstatic to get a chance to read it.
Um … Hello, Sabrina Jeffries! Everything I need for under my tree… or, apparently, in my bed if the title is to be believed.
Amazingly well built man lying down – check.
Shirt mysteriously missing all buttons, and therefore lying open to show off said amazingly well built man – check.
Good looking breeches, juuuuuust tight enough to imply something sex-aaaaay underneath – check.
Plus, she’s funny as hell, and her books are always a great read.
‘Nuf said.
I’d read A Hellion in Her Bed since it seems to be so well-liked.
I’ll read Deep Kiss of Winter first. I am intrigued by the concept of the delicate Valkyrie and by the frozen mantitty.
😉
I would definitely start with A Hellion in Her Bed. I love me some Sabrina Jeffries.
I’d read ‘em all! Starting with Sabrina Jeffries or a re-read of the wonderful Kresley Cole depending on my mood…
I would read the Julia London first…and my roommate would probably steal the Gena Showalter (she loves her some Gena!)
I would read Kresley Cole first.
I would basically throw them all in a bag, reach in and blindly pull out one to read first, because, believe it or not, I haven’t read anything by any of these authors.
I would re-read and give away the Kresley Cole, because I have it already (addict? moi?)… and read the rest!
I’d give A Hellion in her Bed to my sister; it was a fun read and she could use some man-titty in her life.
First in the “to read” queue would be “Unforgivable” by Laura Griffin, followed by “The Year of Living Scandalously” by Julia London. And anything I don’t think is my cup of tea, I’ve family and friends who could enjoy.
I would keep (first read) Haunted by Your Touch and give away (if I had to) I’ll be home for Christmas.
I’d defintely read the Jill Myles book first and give the Sabrina Jeffries book to a friend who’s been dying to get her hands on that book but is holding off until after the holidays.
I would like the Jilly Myles. I have not read any of her books yet. Heck who am I kidding I haven’t read any of those books yet..Pick me pick me…
I’d pass on Aching for Always. The poor lass on the cover seems to have misplaced the front panel of her gown.
hmmm… I think I’d read Haunted by Your Touch first and would give away Blood Trinity
I would keep/read the Sabrina Jeffries book first. Or maybe the Julie London one, because the title is so intriguing. I don’t know which one I’d give away without knowing more about them. Even the one I’m kind of iffy about has guffaw potential.
