Hanukkah, oh Hanukkah, it’s time for the fun to end. Had enough? One more? Sure!
One last giveaway as part of the festive merriment to celebrate reading, both paper and digital, I have a digital reader that’s rather awesome, but getting hard to find.
All you have to do to win is leave a comment, and I’ll select a winner each day. These contests are open to international winners, and I will do my best to ship this week, provided people send me their addresses promptly.
Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. If anything, my gift is exceptional support of the United States Postal Service (Happy Hanukkah, US Mail Carriers!). Digital or paper reading is awesome, but you knew that. Love is a battlefield.
Ahoy! Contest the eighth!
ETA: It’s not over until it’s OVER – I have a $50.00 gift card to the eHarlequin bookstore, thanks to the fine folks at Harlequin! So! Since folks have awesomeness in store if they win, I’m going to extend the contest for a few hours extra, and the winner will get both the awesome prize below AND the $50 gift card. WOO HOO! Happy Hanukkah from Harlequin!
On the Eighth Night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches Gave to Me: A new-in-box Silver Sony 505. I have a big soft spot for this reader: clear screen, memory slots, slim but portable.
Just leave a comment below, and tell me what you’re wishing for most this holiday season, if you’re celebrating, and you’re entered to win. Comments close in 24 hours, but fear not, there’s another book – paper or digital – giveaway coming soon. Because Hanukkah lasts for eight crazy nights, and I have lost my ever lovin’ mind.
Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Reading!

I’m hoping I’ll get the new sony reader (touch edition). It’s too expensive to get as a gift. So I’m hoping someone has a crazy sale or maybe the sony store in canada does the $75 rebate program that the US Sony stores are doing….a girl can dream 🙂
I want an e-reader but they are just too expensive, an a bit crappy here so I will not get one…so wishing for books instead
I want the people around me happy. If they’re happy, I’m happy. 🙂
I’m wishing for a few days off of work and to be able to sleep and read those days away! Christmas has never been big in my family. We have a big Thanksgiving and then we all do our own thing at Christmas time. Although, I know some of my younger cousins are in state, so I might try to go see them.
A serious load of relax, do nothing and read time…maybe a personal housekeeper and chef for 2 weeks will help me achieve it! 😉
I wish peace to the world and hope everyone have a peaceful and joyful Christmas.
Put my name in the pot!!
My dad is getting his knee replaced on the 28th, so this Christmas I am wishing that he has a relaxing time going up to his surgery and that he recovers easily, quickly and successfully.
I want a sweater. I huge, too-big floppy cardigan I can wrap myself up in everyday while working from home. I really just want to be surprised and find my husband actually remembered to get me a gift and put it under the tree for once.
Dear Holiday Armadillo (somebody back me up on this one?),
I would really, really love for you to bring me a new job. A bright, shiny one with lots of interesting parts and a big fat paycheck.
Thank you, Holiday Armadillo!
Love, Fiona
P.S. peace on earth, good will toward all men, blahblahblah. 🙂
I’m hoping for an e-reader from SBTB!
This holiday season I wish that my husband makes it home safely.
I wish for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Just the family spending time together, reading, eating turkey, playing board games and taking naps. That would be lovely!
To become independently wealthy so I can stay home (or go to exotic locations) and read books all day long. 🙂
Even if I don’t win on the final day, this was a great holiday contest. Thank you!
I would love a new pile of TBR books! Gift certs to bookstores so I can get my faves coming out soon (instead of getting on the library waiting list). That’s what I would love for Christmas.
And a new job. That sounds good too!
I want a job…I have an interview today, so hopefully that wish will be fulfilled!
I’m wishing for a happy holiday with my family.
and maybe some dark chocolate!!
I would love a new reading platform 🙂
I really want a black, cotton gauze, handkerchief hem skirt. But I’ve been wishing for one for 3 years, but no one has been able to find one for me.
2nd to that, I’d really like an ereader or at least something that can take Mobi reader.
My really unrealistic wish for Christmas is peace around the world and freedom from hungry & want. Hey, I can dream, right?
slowly93 years passed before I found my skirt?
Well, my holiday is just about over, but I got what I wanted – ebook gift certificates and a camera. Yeah! Happy Holidays everyone!
We are leaving the day after Christmas to visit family and go to the Rose Bowl. I am wishing for an easy week before Christmas to get organized for this, smooth and safe travel (airports, airplanes, children, and Winter don’t always mix well), good parade weather, and of course, Horned Frog victory on New Year’s Day.
An e-reader on the plane would be lovely!
I would just like some quiet time to curl up and read. This will be the first Christmas without my mom so I am not sure how I will do. Our lives have become so hectic lately though just some “me” time would be lovely. Selfish much!
I’m wishing for an ipad. Not going to happen, but it’s always nice to dream!!
I’m hoping (and praying) for safe travels. Holidays are hectic, and travellers sometimes get distracted. Safe travels for everyone, and that includes my son and daughter.
What a great contest! Would love an ereader, as it’s getting difficult to convince my family I need all these boxes of books marked “Unread”. Especially since I lost my job and lost my house, and am living with my daughter now. Aah well, what’s a girl to do? We have a beautiful tree, and I get to snuggle up and watch the lights with my grandson, who’s a little lovey. Life is still good.
Well, since Hanukkah is over tonight…I would wish for a Sony e-reader and the time to read lots and lots of books!!
I wish for a quiet holiday spent w/my husband and sons!
I am only wishing that my family and my sisters family make it to see our grandmother one last Christmas safely. Grandma is 85 and my sister and i and our children are the last of her family. We will hopefully weather permitting all be together in the same place for the first time this Christmas.
What I’ve been wishing for the past 3 years is for hubby to finally get a job – any job that he’s applied for. The last five years have been hellish but hey, we’re healthy, my daughter is our bundle of joy and we are probably better off than so many other people. I’ve been hoping that in 2011 we will finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, and not just the lights of the incoming train! Nevertheless, there is still so much to be thankful for, and nowadays I just count my blessings and know that it can only get much better! Well, gettting an e-reader would be a start.
I wish for a clean house, quiet holiday break, raise in the new year, and lots of books to read.
I’m hoping to spend time with my family and wishing for no more chemo necessary for my mother. I get married next year, and I pray she is healthy enough to be there with us.
Selfishly, I also really want a peacoat that’s not wool – allergies suck in winter weather!
I just want to enjoy the holiday and not be stressed out by it, lol. Or maybe something sparkly.
I wish for health and happiness for my children and grandchildren – and lots of time to read really great books.
I’m wishing for nothing more than a quiet, peaceful, and relaxing holiday with my family. No stress, no crazy drama. Just lots of love, good movies and Christmas specials, and lots and lots of good food. 🙂
I hope my bf gets the teaching job he’s been desperately hunting for. Please Santa!
I’m wishing for my daughter to keep her job. She will find out on Christmas Eve whether or not she will be kept on or not!
My holiday wish is to survive it with patience and grace. Thank you for the eight days of giving!
For my husband, all of his men and women, and the rest of our friends and fellow service members to stay safe and come back home.
And that nobody gets in a fight at the family party.
My Christmas wish would be having a relaxing time with all of my family and friends, and just a LITTLE bit of snow!
