Hanukkah, oh Hanukkah, it’s time for the fun to end. Had enough? One more? Sure!
One last giveaway as part of the festive merriment to celebrate reading, both paper and digital, I have a digital reader that’s rather awesome, but getting hard to find.
All you have to do to win is leave a comment, and I’ll select a winner each day. These contests are open to international winners, and I will do my best to ship this week, provided people send me their addresses promptly.
Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. If anything, my gift is exceptional support of the United States Postal Service (Happy Hanukkah, US Mail Carriers!). Digital or paper reading is awesome, but you knew that. Love is a battlefield.
Ahoy! Contest the eighth!
ETA: It’s not over until it’s OVER – I have a $50.00 gift card to the eHarlequin bookstore, thanks to the fine folks at Harlequin! So! Since folks have awesomeness in store if they win, I’m going to extend the contest for a few hours extra, and the winner will get both the awesome prize below AND the $50 gift card. WOO HOO! Happy Hanukkah from Harlequin!
On the Eighth Night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches Gave to Me: A new-in-box Silver Sony 505. I have a big soft spot for this reader: clear screen, memory slots, slim but portable.
Just leave a comment below, and tell me what you’re wishing for most this holiday season, if you’re celebrating, and you’re entered to win. Comments close in 24 hours, but fear not, there’s another book – paper or digital – giveaway coming soon. Because Hanukkah lasts for eight crazy nights, and I have lost my ever lovin’ mind.
Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Reading!

I really want a break from being a student. That’s all I want for the holidays this year…
For myself? I would like some peace of mind. Failing that, I’m hoping my pay differential comes through soon.
But as for this? I would really really like to give this Sony 505 to my mother. She wants a Kindle, but I seem to think that the reviews here keep giving better marks to the Sony. (Regardless, I will see about getting her an ereader. But this would be cool)
response44? not hardly. I missed that count by several hundred…
I thought I posted? Anyway, all I want is a break from being a student. My apologies if I posted this twice.
I’m really just wishing for all of my family to be home for Christmas. After that, an e-reader is definitely at the top of my list! 😉
I’m wishing the friend I’ve asked to feed my kitties while I’m visiting my parents remembers to check on them every day!
I want some kitchen gadgets and slippers….boring I know
I want to make it through finals, and get home a few days before Christmas.
I’m wishing for Season two of parks and recreation. And for my sister to get a job and go do something with her life.
My deeply, shamefully materialistic side is wishing for a new, shiny, loaded desktop compy to play games on.
The realistic side would just really like a nice, healthy holiday with the family.
I want to go a day without having to explain what librarians do or what a MLIS actually entails. I love my family, but none of them seem to have ever walked into a library in the last century.
whirlled peas
A warm bed and 72 hours of uninterrupted sleep. And peace on Earth, of course…
A cure for cancer would be nice; delivered, if not in time for the holidays, then within a few months.
Barring that, books, of course.
I want an ereader, but it is not on my list this year because it is not in my budget.
Oh well, maybe Santa will get the hint.
I’m wishing for my new little niece to get better and be home for the holidays!
Also, some gas cards for me would be awesome.
The thing I really want most… Arg! I want a red Wii. It’s so pretty and shiny! So shiny.
I’m wishing for a new couch! I just bought a house a few months ago and have an empty living room….My favorite store has their annual sale the day after Christmas so I think I’m buying this present for myself.
I wishing for a puppy!
I want a new Macbook. I already plan on getting myself one right after Christmas, but it’d be lovely to be gifted with one.
My Christmas wish – just once to win a competition. Just once 🙂
top of my list is an ipad, but i’ll probably have to buy it for myself. you know, unless i win some other large-than-my-iphone-screen reader. 😉
I hope it’s not too late to throw my name in!
For Christmas, I’d love to have my house fixed. It’s almost 40 years old and needs so much work. But if I can’t have that, I’d love some awesome socks, because all my toesocks have developed holes! 🙁
Less stress would be awesome and a clean house would just make my year
I don’t want to be greedy and ask for the unobtainable. So instead, my impulses are screaming for a nice boozy cup of egg nog.
extent32: The extent of my holiday drinking may result in 32 counts of public indecency.
Just a peaceful day with my husband and daughter, watching her enjoy the visit from Santa like I did when I was 6!
I feel a bit silly about this, but I’m working on finding job counseling so I can find a new direction in my life, and I’m trying to be hopeful about it. So what I’m looking forward to this holiday season is finding a new path for myself.
I am wishing to win the lottery! I don’t think my chances are good since I haven’t bought a ticket, but I can always hope. I’ll settle for some new clothes and books from my wishlist.
I’m wishing for a nice Christmas with my family and for good things to happen for them.
It’s fate! I desperately wanted to try and win an e-reader, but I kept missing all the other giveaways, and yet this one was extended a couple of hours! What I most want this year? Three wishes! For: An e-reader (of course!), the courage to come out as a closet romance reader 🙂 , and stress-free health and happiness for my family.
I just want the guy I like to stop flirting with me an just ask me out or for me to get the courage to ask him out!!!I just need some romance of my own this year!!
I’m wishing I can get off work and make the trip down to see my family for the first time since August.
What I’m wishing for most is to buy a house. currently looking like will be homeless soon.
The thing I’d quite like for christmas this year is peace and quiet. I’m in a different country to my family so I tend to spend the holidays with friends but this year has been such a shocker that I’d really like some time out.
Hard to do that though without offending anyone. Wish me luck!
I really want new clothes this year. I just got a new job, with a completely different (ie: nicer, more professional) dress code. Plus, I love new clothes! And maybe some shoes!
What I wish for the most… I guess, for everything to go off well, for everyone to be fine and to be happy, and for a good time to be had by all. Also, for people to stop slut-shaming the women in the Assange case, but that’s not going to happen and it will probably put a bit of a damper on my enjoyment of the rest of this month.
I want a cozy day with my family, lots of good food, good toys for my boys, good books for me. And a clue as to what to get my husband. Also, some booze
My wish is for the next year to be peaceful and prosperous for all.
What I’m really wishing for most this holiday season is an e-book reader.
I’m not joking.
I want a spa package at the Red Door Salon.
Peace on earth and goodwill towards men would suit me nicely
