Hanukkah, oh Hanukkah, it’s time for the fun to end. Had enough? One more? Sure!
One last giveaway as part of the festive merriment to celebrate reading, both paper and digital, I have a digital reader that’s rather awesome, but getting hard to find.
All you have to do to win is leave a comment, and I’ll select a winner each day. These contests are open to international winners, and I will do my best to ship this week, provided people send me their addresses promptly.
Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. If anything, my gift is exceptional support of the United States Postal Service (Happy Hanukkah, US Mail Carriers!). Digital or paper reading is awesome, but you knew that. Love is a battlefield.
Ahoy! Contest the eighth!
ETA: It’s not over until it’s OVER – I have a $50.00 gift card to the eHarlequin bookstore, thanks to the fine folks at Harlequin! So! Since folks have awesomeness in store if they win, I’m going to extend the contest for a few hours extra, and the winner will get both the awesome prize below AND the $50 gift card. WOO HOO! Happy Hanukkah from Harlequin!
On the Eighth Night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches Gave to Me: A new-in-box Silver Sony 505. I have a big soft spot for this reader: clear screen, memory slots, slim but portable.
Just leave a comment below, and tell me what you’re wishing for most this holiday season, if you’re celebrating, and you’re entered to win. Comments close in 24 hours, but fear not, there’s another book – paper or digital – giveaway coming soon. Because Hanukkah lasts for eight crazy nights, and I have lost my ever lovin’ mind.
Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Reading!

What I want most this holiday season is a nice, quiet, stress-free holiday, with a delicious meal, and good company. (Although an ereader would be a nice addition, too)!
I just need some confidence. Everything else will work out after that.
My wish for the holidays? Rest, relaxation, and lots of fun with my boys …in a house that magically cleans itself!
I’m going to be selfish and wish for good grades on my first semester 1L exams…
This Christmas, I’m hoping all family travels safely, everyone loves, respects, and treats each other compassionately, and that they give me three uninterrupted days in my pajamas. Is that too much?
I’m always in for a contest.
My Christmas wish was for my husband to find a job after nearly two years of unemployment… he started on Monday 🙂
Hi,
I already got the best Christmas present ever. My son arrived safe and sound from Afganistan. I won’t be seeing him until January, but he’s back and doing well, so our holidays are already happy.
I hope everyone else has a healthy and Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas.
This holiday season I’m just thrilled that my sister’s cancer is being successfully beaten back by treatment.
What I most want for Christmas is to see my family for the first time since April and I’m getting that, so yay! The “thing” I want most…hmmm…an eReader sure would be nice. 😉
I really just want to spend time with my hubby, he is working out of town and just the occasional weekend is not enough. But other than that, I want some accessories for my new wood stove!
My husband’s parents and my Dad’s wife died this year, and my Dad died last year, so this holiday season is a melancholy one. What I wish for most is that we can reaffirm our bonds with remaining family members, share our memories, and provide one another with comfort and support. Thanksgiving was pretty good, and I have hopes for Christmas too.
I hope all of the Bitchery have a wonderful and satisfying (in every way) holiday season.
I’d love some peace, a dash of happiness and throw in a smartphone.
Happy Holidays Eveyrone!
I’m wishing for a new Nintendo DS and for a little extra time to enjoy it!
I want Sugar Bowl tickets!
The willpower to make it through the holidays without gaining my usual 5-8 pounds. What’s that? Three office parties next week…?
I really wish that my mom could be healthy again. My dad passed away last year and my mother misses him terribly and seems to have aged 10 years.
I wish all the SBs have a wonderful Holiday and Happy New Year. Thanks to all the Bitchery for many entertaining hours reading your comments.
My youngest son is currently on a ship, “somewhere in the South Pacific” (translation, probably somewhere far too close to that loon in N. Korea). I haven’t heard from him in over a month and I really miss him. Saturday is his 21st birthday. If I could have anything for Christmas, it would be to have him home.
Wishing for a speedy recovery for several family members who are ill this holiday season.
A vacuum cleaner is at the top of my wish list, mine isn’t working well and it needs to be retired. Of course an e-reader is always on my list, but I figure with the resources my family has, the vacuum is the most likely.
I’m hoping for no family drama. My BIL rubs everybody wrong and I’m hoping everyone will be mellow enough to not want to hit him over the head. I’ll be bring lots of bottles of wine to my sister’s house to achieve my wish. And of course there’s the yummy foods and the believable excuse to eat lots (it’s the holidays after all) and not feel guilty.
My whole family will be together this Christmas, which is really all I can ask for!
To find myself again …..
Thanks for giving everyone a chance to win such a great gift..
Good luck everyone..
Hope you have had an amazing Hanukkah Sarah..
Well, it sure would be great to have a silver Sony 505 for Christmas. =D That and to celebrate it with family and friends, in as many Christmas parties as much as possible!
I want some time to sleep and to read. I have a huge TBR pile.
I wish for A’s in my classes and to get my dream job when they’re over!
I’m hoping that my family makes it through the holidays without a good old-fashioned Massive Family Drama. Huge family fights are our biggest Christmas tradition. Apart from that, I’d like a ukulele and a CD or two.
Happy Hanukkah, Sarah!
I’m wishing to not have to drive through hours of crappy roads and weather to get home. Fingers crossed for moderate sun and clear roads, and for everyone who is traveling, to make it to their destination safely to be with their loved (and tolerated, hehe) ones.
This is the first Christmas since my brother passed away so I’m really hoping my parents get through it okay. I also hope for lots of fun, relaxing time with my husband and children. Vacations from work and school seem to go way too fast.
This year, all i want for the holidays is to ace my finals! A nice secondary wish would be someone sweet to cuddle up with for the new year ^_^
As this will probably be my last Christmas in Sydney for a couple of years, my wish would be for an enjoyable holiday celebration with family and friends before I leave off for the americas to make my fortune.
I already got my present and it was great, so I am pretty much satisfied with my needs, now I only hope to pull off all the holiday cooking with minimal family complaints (a true winter miracle).
I’m wishing I knew what I was wishing for…
I can never get enough books, so more please 😉
A quiet, low stress holiday with a bit of snow but not enough to ground the planes. 🙂
Hope I’m not too late! This year I’m wishing for some peace and relaxation during the holidays.
Sarah, thanks so much for these opportunities!
I just got my temporary crown on my front tooth, I would love to have the permanent be a Christmas present. 🙂 Otherwise, health and happiness to my family and friends, both online and off.
All I want for Christmas this year is love. And a baby.
What I am wishing for most is that my kids will play with the toys that I have spent hours agonizing over before finally choosing them (while all the while knowing that Santa will get all the credit), and not instead play with the boxes they came in.
A big, fat, well-paying client base for the new (small) business I’m starting after January 1. And a massage.
