Hanukkah, oh Hanukkah, it’s time for the fun to end. Had enough? One more? Sure!
One last giveaway as part of the festive merriment to celebrate reading, both paper and digital, I have a digital reader that’s rather awesome, but getting hard to find.
All you have to do to win is leave a comment, and I’ll select a winner each day. These contests are open to international winners, and I will do my best to ship this week, provided people send me their addresses promptly.
Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. If anything, my gift is exceptional support of the United States Postal Service (Happy Hanukkah, US Mail Carriers!). Digital or paper reading is awesome, but you knew that. Love is a battlefield.
Ahoy! Contest the eighth!
ETA: It’s not over until it’s OVER – I have a $50.00 gift card to the eHarlequin bookstore, thanks to the fine folks at Harlequin! So! Since folks have awesomeness in store if they win, I’m going to extend the contest for a few hours extra, and the winner will get both the awesome prize below AND the $50 gift card. WOO HOO! Happy Hanukkah from Harlequin!
On the Eighth Night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches Gave to Me: A new-in-box Silver Sony 505. I have a big soft spot for this reader: clear screen, memory slots, slim but portable.
Just leave a comment below, and tell me what you’re wishing for most this holiday season, if you’re celebrating, and you’re entered to win. Comments close in 24 hours, but fear not, there’s another book – paper or digital – giveaway coming soon. Because Hanukkah lasts for eight crazy nights, and I have lost my ever lovin’ mind.
Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Reading!

I’m wishing for no family fights and lots of christmas lights. Easy nights at work and a guy who’s not a jerk.
Just a week of peace and quiet, find a store that sells that and I’ll surely buy it!
don’t ya just love rhyme-time
I really want a new laptop, but don’t think I’ll be getting the Mac Air that I’ve been coveting.
I am wishing that I can actually think of good presents to get or people, because for some reason it is EXTRA hard this year…and the stuffed animal giant squid that I asked for. 😀
For the holidays, my wish is for a safe journey for all travelers—and hopefully an e-reader in case you’re delayed somewhere.
I’d like a rest so when Christmas actually arrives I can enjoy it to the full. I’m hoping we can do what we usually do and have lots of extra people over, that makes it such fun.
I really want to see my family happy. It’s been a crazy year and seeing them always seems to make things balance out.
The thing I want most is to have a good Christmas, really; after the last few years, that will be enough to make it special!
I’m hoping for all of my family to be together this year!
health, happiness, peace in our time…. and a Sony e-reader! LOL 🙂
For the holidays I am really hoping to bestowed with a student teaching position abroad! However, I will definitely be happy with a little time off school and work.
Wishing for a safe and happy holiday for all the smart bitches out there!
What I’d really really love is an e-reader, of course. I just can’t make up my mind which one…so winning one would be perfect! :O)
Apart from a ereader my holiday wish would be for the weather to be not too hot and there be no arguments when we visit my partners family. It might be a pipe dream but I live in hope!
I really want my mother to get out of rehabilitative home she’s been in for almost 2 years in time for Christmas.
And if I’m being selfish, I also want a really, really nice milk chocolate cocoa where little crunchy powder bits are nowhere to be found. Oh, and a nap.
Given the kids desperate want to try skiing but hate being cold, I’m hoping for it to be cold enough to ski but not cold enough for frostbite over their winter break. And lots of hot cocoa for Mommy who’ll be watching from the warmth of the lodge. 🙂
I’ld like silence in my house for just a couple of days this
holiday
I want for the holiday – stronger will to fight my procrastination. I want hopes for the better. I want to write a decent novel. I want a lot.
I want a heavy duty staple gun, the kind you can you to reupholster furniture. Everyone in my family questions this desire. They keep asking if I plan to use it to commit violence. No. Obviously. That’s why I asked for the flamethrower!
This year I’m hoping to enjoy the holiday without the sadness of missing my Mother who passed away in February. Enjoying each moment with my kids.
A decent relationship with my son and the woman he is marrying Dec. 18. How did I come to be typecast as a stuffy person? If I’m the one who needs to change, I hope that will happy!
My wish is to take my teenage sister to Paris for the holidays. She blossomed on a trip to London a few years ago and now wants to see Europe, especially the city of light.
My wish is for my sister who’s been out of work for 18 months finally gets a job.
I am wishing for a Beta hero to call my own. 🙂
I wish that everyone who has commented gets their wish. I wish for peace and quiet and lots of books for my to be read pile. Happy Holidays to everyone!
I would like a peaceful holiday season with all the lovely anticipation of eating good food, reading books from my tbr pile and visiting friends. I would also love to have my own Sony reader. Happy Hanukkah!
I may have dropped my much loved 505 and would love a new one to magically appear for Christmas!
I want a relaxing day off with the family. Hope that happens. For under the tree though a ITouch or ereader wouldnt hurt either. But Im pretty sure those are dreams for this year, next though might just be my year.
Please Lord – no family dramas during Christmas!!
What I wish for the holidays this year is for everyone in my family to be together this year. We weren’t for Thanksgiving, and it just didn’t feel the same.
I am wishing for calm and peace. I had a very long year, the highs were high, and the lows were really low. I am at a high point now, but I am exhausted, and wishing for peace, most of all.
I’m wishing for some snuggly kissy sex with Santa after he’s helped me clean the house and wrap the presents. It’s been much too long Santa…
(Period37—oh freakin’ no please not tonight)
I’m wishing for my two weeks of vacation to be free of responsibility so that I can settle in and catch up on all of my “fun” reading after a semester full of ancient and medieval history!
A membership to the gym or blu ray player – aside from books ofcourse :).
I really want to win this because my eyesight is getting worse from reading off of my iPod touch… yet this Sony seems just as portable.
Happy Holidays to everyone!
I would really love enough money to afford a car, gas for a year and just enough money to get by on so I can drive around America for a year with no particular destination in mind. Also a smaller waist line would be nice but I won’t push my luck.
At the moment I’m just wishing that I and everyone around me make it through winter finals without strangling each other (and that I can make revisions on this short story without having to add a million pages—thanks, unclear criticism from writing workshop!). And that it doesn’t snow too heavily in Boston so I can get home to Texas all right.
And, purely selfishly, I hope my mom can find that classic Zelda: Ocarina of Time N64 cartridge I asked for. >.> want sooo badlyyy.
Books, books, and more books of course. And maybe a few movies, but lets not get distracted from what important here
I’m hoping to publish my magazine on time.
Hairtoys! I have long hair, and I love to use pretty hairsticks and forks for my updos.
I have to travel 2 hours at midnight on Christmas Eve to get home and be with my husband and daughter for Christmas Day, then turn around again for Sunday, Dec. 26, and travel 2 hours again. So I really hope for clear roads and safe travel. Then peace and quiet at honme.
