Smart Bitches Hanukkah Festival Giveaway: Part Eight!

imageHanukkah, oh Hanukkah, it’s time for the fun to end. Had enough? One more? Sure!

One last giveaway as part of the festive merriment to celebrate reading, both paper and digital, I have a digital reader that’s rather awesome, but getting hard to find.

All you have to do to win is leave a comment, and I’ll select a winner each day. These contests are open to international winners, and I will do my best to ship this week, provided people send me their addresses promptly.

Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. If anything, my gift is exceptional support of the United States Postal Service (Happy Hanukkah, US Mail Carriers!). Digital or paper reading is awesome, but you knew that. Love is a battlefield.

Ahoy! Contest the eighth!

ETA: It’s not over until it’s OVER – I have a $50.00 gift card to the eHarlequin bookstore, thanks to the fine folks at Harlequin! So! Since folks have awesomeness in store if they win, I’m going to extend the contest for a few hours extra, and the winner will get both the awesome prize below AND the $50 gift card. WOO HOO! Happy Hanukkah from Harlequin!

imageOn the Eighth Night of Hanukkah, Smart Bitches Gave to Me: A new-in-box Silver Sony 505. I have a big soft spot for this reader: clear screen, memory slots, slim but portable.

Just leave a comment below, and tell me what you’re wishing for most this holiday season, if you’re celebrating, and you’re entered to win. Comments close in 24 hours, but fear not, there’s another book – paper or digital – giveaway coming soon. Because Hanukkah lasts for eight crazy nights, and I have lost my ever lovin’ mind.

Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Reading!

  1. Tandis says:

I want some new games for my DS. However, my husband thinks they’re “not good Christmas gifts” and my parents are kind of clueless when it comes to that sort of thing, so I’m buying the games myself and passing them off to people to “give” to me. 🙂 At least that way I’m getting the games I want. 🙂

  2. Kaitlyn says:

I would like for one day of peace and quiet, in which my upstairs neighbors didn’t play DDR or have a party. And maybe a really good book to read while this is going on.

  3. ashley says:

to graduate university. that is my holiday gift supreme lol

and we be celebratin at my house this year!

That someone else would do all the work I’m behind on, while I get some time off.

  7. Wendy says:

For my family to be well and that my mother is still doing well right now.

  8. Brooks*belle says:

For my kids to have a wonderful, fun, magical Christmas.

  9. Jaime says:

During holiday travels, my wish is that all my flights are on time.

  10. Sarah B. says:

My wish is that my older brother and younger sister wise up. This is more for them and my mom than for me. I’m away for school, so I don’t have to deal with them, but they stress my mom out to no end. I’d like her to have, not just a relaxed Christmas, but to have less stress in general.

  11. Tif says:

I’m wishing that my husband would get a job.  That would be the best Christmas present that we could receive right now.  I already know that both of our stockings are going to be empty, but our son will have a decent Christmas.

It seems like every year for the past 6 years that something happens right before Christmas and I end up with no Christmas present.  LOL!  Such is life, right?

  12. Ellowyne says:

I’m wishing that my Grandmother gets some relief this holiday season, and is conscious and comfortable.  She could use a little miracle this year, and it would be a miracle to me to see her happy and animated.

  13. I’m hoping for some video games.  I don’t play much although I enjoy it and I’ve got my eye on a Harvest Moon for the Wii that looks like a pleasant time drain.

  14. Natalie Decker says:

Yay! I’m wishing for more books of course, e or paper!!!

  15. GrowlyCub says:

A job for my husband and one for me.

  16. Kerry D. says:

    Sleep.

And some quality grandparent time with the 6 year old, so I can get the aforementioned sleep.

If I’m really lucky, I might even manage some non-sleeping, hubby time while aftermentioned 6 year old is off with aforementioned grandparents.

  17. Patricia says:

We had some house repairs that escalated in cost by over 200% so that is my husband and my gift to each other.

  18. madmiss says:

    My wish for this season?
That I do reasonably well this year, so I can get this degree and figure out what comes next.

    Preferably get a 2:1 (I know a 1:1 isn’t an option.)

Above59 ? Yes, far above 59 … somewhere in the high 70s please.

  19. I’m wishing for a Silver Sony 505 e-reader. . .  oh, and world peace. 🙂

  20. Marcela says:

This Christmas I’m wishing for a job since I made the very crazy decision to leave my soul-sucking graduate program without too much of a plan.

    And fuzzy socks.

  21. Lissanne says:

My wish for this holiday season would be to spend it with my Dad, but alas, he lives on the other side of the country.

    Happy Hannukah!

  22. KatH says:

I could be altruistic but I want a Kindle!!

  23. Amy says:

I am hoping for a new iPod. Mine is about 5 years old and doesn’t have enough storage for my digital music (and movie and television) collection.

  24. CC says:

My only wish for Christmas is to regain my balance and not feel so depressed all the time.

  25. Diane U. says:

I will be celebrating Christmas at mom’s.  I would love to get an Amazon gift card or anything off my Amazon wish-list but what I am really hoping for is to get home in time to see the Dr Who Christmas Special on BBCA.

  26. Shae says:

Celebrating my best friend gettting engaged (and not being too jealous)  as well as formulating plans to actually get to have my dream job. I won’t say much more as to not jinx it.

  27. Midknyt says:

I’d really like a job.  I get my field is seasonal until you move up in ranks, but I’ve got a couple years now and being unemployed every six months is becoming depressing.  (Not to mention the deep, deep hatred I have for writing cover letters, over and over again).

  28. Katherine says:

I’m wishing for a happy and peaceful family christmas – no drama!

(and lots of bookstore gift certificates!)

  29. Kristin says:

Hmmm, I could say I was wishing for peace on Earth, goodwill to men but the two things I really, really want are a top of the line laptop and a new sewing machine.  Neither on is going to happen but I can certainly dream about it.  Hehehe, the Sony reader would definitely assuage my sense of loss when the other presents don’t show up.

  30. Alex says:

I really want a laptop. I doubt it though

  31. Mekaela says:

I’m wishing for some sneakers or boots cause mine are falling apart 🙂

  32. Alex says:

I just really really really really (x infinity and beyond) want to get an offer from Trinity Hall. Or just any other college. Looking how today went, I doubt it very much

  33. Vita says:

    I’m just wishing for a great 2011!

Thanks Sarah for the wonderful on-going contest.  It’s been a blast to see the fun mix of prizes and read all the great comments.

  34. TinaAnn S says:

I wish I had money so I could finish my schooling.

  35. Alex says:

I just really really really really etc want to get an offer from Trinity Hall. Or any other college. I doubt I will

  36. Elizabeth says:

Oddly enough, I’m wishing for an ereader!  And ‘A’s in all my classes would not be frowned upon, either.

  37. Juls says:

My wish for Christmas, would be to wake up Christmas morning and be the best Roller Derby girl the world has ever seen, cause at this moment, I SUCK! that and booty shorts even though no woman my size should ever wear booty shorts. But in Derby all is allowed, even booty shorts:)

  38. LauraH says:

I’m wishing for some time to relax—- get a massage, facial, and some time to read.  Yep—that’s what I really want…

  39. Kristin says:

I could say I want peace on earth and good will towards men but what I really want is a top of the line laptop and a new sewing machine.  Since that won’t happen, the Sony reader would sooth the loss I feel…LOL

  40. Donna says:

I really want someone else to clean the house. I spend a week cleaning and after the family leaves, it looks like I didn’t do a thing. Yep, someone else to clean the house.
