I have a really fun giveaway today, so set fire to your pants, it’s Blaze Trilogy time! This Valentine’s Day, Harlequin put together a trade-sized 3-in-1 of brand new Blaze romances: The Blaze Collection.
It includes three new novels: Her Sexy Valentine by Stephanie Bond, Play with Me by Leslie Kelly, and The Charmer by Kate Hoffmann.
Note: I’ve read Play With Me and liked it a lot – very light and quite hot. So winning a copy along with two other new books? Boo to the Yah with a side of Hells Yeah.
So I’ve got 10 copies to give away. Leave a comment here and tell me your favorite way to indulge yourself. I’ll pick ten winners at random. Nine will receive a copy of the book, and one lucky winner will receive the grand prize: a copy of the trilogy and a tin of chocolate covered Oreos decorated for Valentine’s Day*.
*Due to the fact that, scientifically speaking, chocolate melts, I have to restrict the chocolate prize to the US and Canada only. But if the winner chosen is outside the US or Canada, I’ll come up with something decadent that doesn’t melt. Promise.
Standard disclaimers: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway aside from the opportunity to type stuff on the internet. The review copy of Play With Me was sent to me by Leslie Kelly for my review usage and was not compensation for this giveaway. Neither was the pony she bought me. Wait, was I not supposed to mention that? His name is Sparkles II. Your milage may vary. Many bags look alike. Mind the gap. Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball.™
Comments close in 24 hours. Ready, set, go!

Not a lot of extra cash for spa treatments and three noisy kids, so reading late into the night and then sleeping late in the morning are big indulgences for me!
Taking a nap. I never get to do that enough.
My favorite way to indulge myself? I like to spend the day in bed, reading multiple novels and napping whenever the urge strikes.
Never having a special valentine ever, I would cook myself the most fabulous and delicious dish along with tiramisu cake. Followed by painting the town red in a sexy red minidress, flirting outrageously at the dance club.
A piece of chocolate with my morning coffee at the office and a beer in the shower, right after work. For the weekend, not wearing a bra.
I like to eat…can’t help it. That is always my most favorite way to indulge… Hubby and I love to do The Melting Pot every once in a while…and I could care less about the meat…give me cheese and chocolate and I’m good. But I do have to say….if I had to pick only one course…I think the cheese would win out. I know…..how can I be a woman and pick cheese over chocolate???
I love spending all day reading romances while not wearing a bra.
My favorite way to indulge is to go out and buy something that I do not need. Too often, it is ‘we need’, ‘they need’ or ‘you need’. I like getting silly stuff that I don’t need. Often it is little stuff. Pretty pens or office supplies. It doesn’t have to be expensive, just not a necessity.

my security word is turned 39…it is off by 5…
Picture this:
Cold, windy and rainy outside.
Me inside, on the couch or in the reading chair with a book, a blanket, cup of tea and my favorite cookies.
Let the indulging begin!!!!!!
Favorite way to indulge – reading a really great book, preferably one with a happily ever after ending.
I’ve got a comfy chaise lounge at my back window, with a nice view of the woods and the bird feeders. I like to get up early on weekend mornings and curl up under a warm, fleecy blanket, with a cat or two on my legs, a cup of coffee, a pastry (something non-sticky), and a good romance novel. I can read, I can watch birds, I can try not to get crumbs all over the book. Wonderful.
Take one pair of well-worn cotton PJs, subtract bra and makeup; turn off anything that rings; add a large portion of nachos con carne and a bottle of Cabernet (no witnesses, no crime!) while rereading one of the Bridgerton books (usually Colin’s); follow with a double bill of “Pillow Talk” and “Only You” (the Downey/Tomei one). Fall asleep dreaming of David Tennant, a hotel on the Amalfi Coast and a tiny warmed jar of blackberry honey—‘cause if you’re gonna dream, dream big.
A steaming hot bath, a glass of champagne, and a good book. 😀
Favorite way to indulge, goodness there are many ways but probably my favorite is good book, warm room, time to read said book and snacks whenever I want. Also once I am ready a long hot bubble bath with red wine and book. I could spend all evening enjoying that.
In a CRAZY turn of events, my favorite indulgence is to eat Oreos and read novels.
I’m a law student. I never eat anything and I never get to read anything but casebooks. True story.
Mother’s Day. Every year, I get the full day to indulge myself. My husband, who is amazing, wonderful, and understands me all too well, takes the kids away to visit his mother (after first fixing me breakfast in bed). Now, I am sure there are any number of devoted Moms out there who are horrified that I don’t want to be with my kids on Mother’s Day. But Mother’s Day is actually my day NOT to be a Mom.
Anyway, I enjoy my breakfast in bed. After everyone has left, I usually get up and go for a long, long walk by myself. The last few years, it has been a gorgeous, sunny day on Mother’s Day. On my walk, I always manage to stop by my favorite used book store (to stock up on some good, trashy reading material) and then make a pit-stop at an excellent nearby coffee shop. Then I stroll down to a local pond and read by the water for a while. Then I walk to get some sushi for lunch, relishing the fact that no one is bothering me to cut up their food or stop their brother/sister from kicking them or complaining about the restaurant choice, etc. After a leisurely lunch, I head for home, usually stopping for a hot fudge sundae at Brighams on the way. I figure, with all that walking, I deserve it! At that point, I either decide to take a nap or go to the movies—both of which I really enjoy. I finish up my day with a meal at my favorite restaurant. When I get home, my husband usually has the kids put to bed (or at least ready for bed in their rooms), so I can pounce on him and wrap up the day in the most satisfying of ways! Mmmmm! Only four and a half months ‘til next Mother’s Day….
Spinning Wheel on the front porch on a sunny day. It gets me some odd looks here in Manhattan, but that makes it more social.
I like to have a nice bath or shower, then curl up in bed (with mounds of pillows and blankets in the winter!), with a book and a drink and quite possibly some pastry, even though the crumbs make sleeping difficult.
… which would be the reason I don’t do it often!
Indulging? Today it was ‘pretending’ to do the dishes to make the kids go play in the playroom but actually read Jane Austen on my Kindle (for free! Woot!). The kids saw me in the kitchen… but was I working? Nope! That is indulging.
Otherwise, I would be in a comfy chair reading with no kids, no husband, and some hot brownies. Yum.
I love to get everyone out of the house, light some candles, and get out my book. I usually pick up at least 5 or 6 at a time, so once i actually pick one out-I hunker down and do some serious reading. The best way to relax and unwind, and forget all the nonsense of everday.
Hmm getting a full body massage followed up by laying down on some nice soft bed sheets. A full cup of lemon iced tea to my left and to my right a tray of strawberries and blueberries. Wrapping it all up with a great book till I feel my eyes start to close for a great nights sleep.
Curling up on the couch with a cup of coffee, a good book or movie and a cigarette after taking a long, hot shower…
Pure indulgence.
By reading Smart Bitches, Trash books on-li—Oh, wait! You said favorite way to indulge myself? Not suck up?
Okay, then, I’m going with reading from my ridiculously large TBR pile, which I’m hoping will be one book bigger after this post.
As a momma of soon to be 3, my favorite way to indulge has to be a bath, with a romance novel and some chocolate, if I’m lucky. If I’m not lucky, it’s usually curling up in bed and taking a nap while the kids watch Blue’s Clues. It’s the little things in life, ya know? 🙂
For me, indulgence currently equals some sort of fragrant concoction from Lush (Vanillary perfume and the After Eight massage bar are to die for), curling up with a book or my man, and some Lindt chocolate. And flannel, lots of flannel.
My absolute favorite indulgance is to grab a book I’ve been dying to read, lock my boys (including my husband) out of the bathroom and soak in the tub while I read and sip a Vanilla White Russian or nibble on Hershey’s bliss candy.
Unfortunately I only get the opportunity to do this about once a month. *sigh*
Curling up in a blanket with hot chocolate and a new book. Maybe some music to play in the background. Keeps me happy for hours, and it’s simple.
I like to indulge myself by curling up on the couch with a good romance book and a hot cup of tea.
Ilike to drink a glass of read wine while soaking in the tub and no one else is home then read a really good book
I meant to say red wine not read ugh
My favorite indulgence is planning for a weekend where I don’t leave my apartment. All the errands are done the week before and I can just hole up from Friday evening until Monday morning ordering in, watching movies, reading, writing, crafting, whatever I want – I answer to no one unless I want to and I spend two glorious days in cozy clothes. It doesn’t happen very often but when I can pull it off it’s pure bliss!!!
Hot bath. Fuzzy PJ’s and warm socks, hot drink, and going to bed early with a good book. (No interruptions from kids—DH can interrupt with nookie though…)
For me , it would be falling into a favorite reread or watching one of the movies that I love.
A weekend away from my five children but WITH my husband that includes good books, good food, maybe a few movies, romantic music, and sweet lovin’.
A good 4 or 5 hours of solid reading time is something I let myself indulge in every few months by taking a sick day and sending the little one to school. Considering I get to read 10 minutes at a time, it really is decadent!
A glass of wine, a quiet house ande my kindle. Ultimate me time indulgence!
My favorite indulgence? $100 to spend at a bookstore, coming home with a brand new pile of TBR books, jumping into a sexy romance from said pile while under the electric blanket sipping a chai and cuddling with the cat. Then talking with the hubby on his way home from work about what made the scenes so sexy for me, and “retiring” to the bedroom together when he gets home. ‘Cause after all, half the fun of romance for me is sharing the love…
Captcha: received52 – I wanted $100 to spend but only received 52… Better some than none!
Indulging for me is eating a bowl of Apple Jacks as a play violent video games. It pumps me up so I can stay up all night reading. Good times.
Indulgence part 1: bubble bath, drink (coke, juice, wine, whatever sounds good) and a good book or two. (Honestly, I usually bring 3, in case 1 doesn’t grab me, so I don’t have to get out of the tub.) Refill tub with warm water as necessary.
Indulgence part 2: get out of tub, put on fluffy robe, crawl into bed and read some more, as late as I want. This is best done on nights when I don’t have to work the next day, but that’s never really stopped me. 🙂
Comfy pjs + a cuppa + a new Julia Quinn ( – anyone else around) = my happy place!
