I have a really fun giveaway today, so set fire to your pants, it’s Blaze Trilogy time! This Valentine’s Day, Harlequin put together a trade-sized 3-in-1 of brand new Blaze romances: The Blaze Collection.
It includes three new novels: Her Sexy Valentine by Stephanie Bond, Play with Me by Leslie Kelly, and The Charmer by Kate Hoffmann.
Note: I’ve read Play With Me and liked it a lot – very light and quite hot. So winning a copy along with two other new books? Boo to the Yah with a side of Hells Yeah.
So I’ve got 10 copies to give away. Leave a comment here and tell me your favorite way to indulge yourself. I’ll pick ten winners at random. Nine will receive a copy of the book, and one lucky winner will receive the grand prize: a copy of the trilogy and a tin of chocolate covered Oreos decorated for Valentine’s Day*.
*Due to the fact that, scientifically speaking, chocolate melts, I have to restrict the chocolate prize to the US and Canada only. But if the winner chosen is outside the US or Canada, I’ll come up with something decadent that doesn’t melt. Promise.
Standard disclaimers: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway aside from the opportunity to type stuff on the internet. The review copy of Play With Me was sent to me by Leslie Kelly for my review usage and was not compensation for this giveaway. Neither was the pony she bought me. Wait, was I not supposed to mention that? His name is Sparkles II. Your milage may vary. Many bags look alike. Mind the gap. Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball.™
Comments close in 24 hours. Ready, set, go!

A few hours to myself to read, with good snacks on hand.
Oo, yay, another giveaway! I was away from my computer for the weekend and was so upset to see I’d missed the Laura Kinsale contest (and just for the record, my favorite French idiom is “lécher les vitrines”—it means to go window-shopping, but literally translates, “to lick the windows.” Perfect, right?).
So—indulgences. Like a lot of people here, for me, a great indulgence is a day all to myself, with no chores or to-do lists. A hot shower, comfy lounging clothes, a cup of hot tea/chocolate/coffee, some yummy gourmet food (clotted cream and jam on scones or French bread is a huge indulgence, or smoked salmon on buttered toast), a space heater, and a romance novel and/or Bollywood movie on the TV. Aaaaaahh—that’s the stuff.
I get in the tub with a good book and something to drink.
Great giveaway!! I LOVE BLAZE!!
Marita, your way to indulge sounds heavenly. 🙂 I LOVE House and Garden. And tea and scones…oh my!
FYI, Divine Design with Candice Oleson on House and Garden decorated a writer’s retreat for a romance author Teresa Roblin. It was gorgeous! I watched it this weekend. I think it’s supposed to air again in Feb.
Cher
3 things; romance book, snuggie, and a big glass of wine.
I love to just stay home with a few chick flicks, order Chinese food, take a bubble bath, MAYBE do a bit of scrapbooking, and then cuddle up with a good book before I go to sleep. It’s a day to not have to go anywhere, check any e-mail, or do any lesson planning…ahhhhh.
My special way to indulge would be a day at the spa. Having a hunky, handsome man massage every muscle in my body, sipping on a mimosa, eating yummy fruits and chocolates. Going home all relaxed, put on my P.J.‘s and veg out with junk food and romantic movies; Sleepless in Seattle, You Got Mail and P.S. I Love You!
I’m definitely one of the bath girls – in my huge Victorian tub, hotter than blazes, lots of bubbles, and (of course) a book.
Honestly, my biggest indulgence right now is taking a “sick” day from work, especially on a Monday, to do what I need or want to do. Like today, for example! I’ll eat, write, read, and practice for the inevitable day when I’m a prolifically published writer and don’t have to report in to a job where I herd cats while writing for other peeps.
I’d say baths and chocolate and cocktails, but frankly, I do that so much it’s not so much an “indulgence” as a “Tuesday.”
Snuggled in bed or on the couch with a Georgette Heyer or Lisa Kleypas, and maybe a glass of sweet sweet caffeine-y Coke. Mmm mmm!!
I indulge myself by going up to the third floor of my house, where no one else is allowed. I can take a bubble bath there in a vintage tub, or sew and craft, or just sit and revel in a child-free space.
A favorite indulgence….sleeping in, with my fully loaded kindle 🙂
My favorite way to indulge myself is with a warm blanket on a cold night, a cat curled up at (or on) my feet, and a really great book in my hands.
No children, no husband, warm bed, good book.
Ok, I’m torn between a hot bubble bath with a cool glass of wine as a treat and my very own mini-box of 3 milk chocolate covered cherries and dark chocolate covered cherries to eat now or hoard for later. Since I’m currently on a diet I shouldn’t even think about lucious, oozy, creamy cherry goodness covered with rich chocolate….pant, pant. Oh hell now I’ll be thinking about that for the rest of the day, maybe the week. Sigh. Send me some romances so I can get my mind off chocolate. Please!
Definitely indulge myself by scheduling a massage at the spa!
Hot bath, glass of really good red wine, a great book, then curl up on the couch in my PJs with a great movie and my dog next to me
I indulge with a good book and ice cream. Two great things that go great together. =)
This is super geeky of me, but I really like to have two audio or visual experiences at once (sounds dirtier than it is.) My ultimate favorite is to play a computer game while I have an audio book going. Lately, I’ve been using the split screen on the computer: television or movie going on one, WashPost crossword on the other.
Get the DH to serve me all my meals in bed while I spend the day reading vintage Harlequin romances. Seriously, that’s what I did this weekend and I LOVED every second of it.
If the house is empty, I’m gonna be blast some music and dance around naked for a good hour and a half! After sleeping that off, I’d watch a few amazing romantic comedies. The day would be finished after cuddling with my puppy and a bowl of cookie dough ice cream. And that’s my favorite way(s) to indulge myself.
Well, it’s pretty simple, but for me, indulgence is a hot bath, and then going straight from the hot tub to my cool sheets. Since I have long, thick hair, the indulgence is that I leave my hair up in the towel-turban instead of waiting for it to dry. Doing that means that when I wake up, I’ll have hair kinked at some truly odd angles, but… somedays, it’s worth it.
three54… is not the number of days out of the year that I can do that. Wouldn’t it be nice if it were, though?
My indulgence? Margaritas (strawberry or lime), milk chocolate truffles and a movie with questionable content (usually quite violent). At least two of the above makes for a fun evening.
I’d just like some quiet time on a quiet afternoon, huddled in my comfy recliner, quietly reading one of the many wonderful books in my stash pile. Did I mention the quiet part? Thanks for the great contest. And you deserve the pony.
A bowl of weed, a cup of dark coffee with cream and sugar and a small stack of thumbprint jelly cookies.
Follow that with an afternoon on the sofa with my reader and I’m one happy little kitten.
Ben & Jerrys!!!!!! and of course something awesome to read and if the hubby would rub my neck and shoulders I could die a happy girl.
Reading a good romance (preferably Julia Quinn) with a Peppermint Mocha curled between my palms. Some chocolate and cuddling with my boyfriend on the couch before we both fall asleep. Absolutely indulgent.
I love massages and that is my big indulgences. I cannot call buying books an indulgence because I do that so often that it just cannot qualify anymore.
I have not read Blaze before so this would be a great prize to try out. Thanks so much.
I like to run a hot bath, lock the bathroom door so the kids can’t get to me, and indulge with a good novel and a cold alcoholic beverage.
Or, if I can get an afternoon off while the kids are in school, I like to curl up on the couch with a good book and some tea (and cookies, if I have any in the house).
Actually, pretty much anything that involves me reading a good book in the absence of children is a complete indulgence around here. Alcoholic beverages and dessert only add to the experience.
I love to indulge myself by not setting the alarm clock, waking up ridiculously late, then spending the day reading a really great book and eating Belgian chocolate!
great Sushi… red velvet cake for dessert…..and a quite time on the couch for catching up on either tv or reading. neither of which I get to do very often.
Word: say63
oh I can 63 very nice things about sushi and books
I pull up Sponge Bob on the TIVO for the kiddies then go to the next room with my latest romance novel, a bag of salted popcorn and Peppermint Patties. Can I get the Mom of the Year award along with a book? Thanks!
Favorite indulgence:: Comfy elegent clothes, feet being massaged by a hot young man, while sitting on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, with a great view, pleasant music, someone keeping my glass full of sweet tea, a box of assorted great chocolates and a can’t-put-it-down book. wonderful.
Mm, indulgence. For me, right now, it’s a mug of fresh coffee, a chocolate-filled croissant, the Monday crossword (I can usually finish Mondays), a pencil and an hour between classes.
Yup. That sounds really nice…
A warm cup of tea and a re-read of my very favourite books. Visiting familiar places is always soothing. It’s even better if I can snuggle into a blanket and convince the cat to join me!
A new book, a quiet corner, and some good chocolate. The quiet corner is the hardest to come by…
2 hour massage
LOTR marathon, with a cup of earl gray, my fluffy down comforter and lots of pillows
My indulgence was to soak in the bath with a glass of wine, a good book & candles all around. Sadly as my mum needed help with bathing the bath has now been removed and a wet floor shower installed so no more indulging baths for me. I now have to lie on my bed with a book pretending to be soaking in the bath LOL xx
My favorite way to indulge is a bubble bath, romance novel and chocolate cake!
I just asked my hubby if I had any clever or funny indulgences. He immediately yelled out “trashy novels” to which I replied that the answer might be cliché on a romance review web site.
He retorted, “Isn’t that question then a little redundant?”
Ah well, better to have my personal romance hero be a little snarky from time to time than a fantasy restraining-order worthy hero actually sleeping next to me. Now to indulge myself by putting my little cold feet on the hubby’s warm shins…
