Back on 3 May, or 2 May if you were me or Candy, we were on the radio with a hilarious dude named Alan Brough in Melbourne, Australia. It was epic fun.
If you missed it, ABC Melbourne was kind enough to get the mp3 online so if you’d like to listen, have at it. It’s too early for me to listen right now – I’d wake everybody up.
I love Alan Brough.
Perhaps you should look into the depths of youtube hell and look up some Spicks & Specks!
Oh, yay! I’ve been looking everywhere for the audio of your interview.
This was absolutely hilarious!
Thanks for starting my day off with a laugh.
I laughed my a$$ off. You gals were fabulous.
Thanks for starting my day in a fabulous way.
Haha! That was great!
Fun interview! Love how you gave kudos to the local authors!
My husband loved the interview – muffled snerks and snorts.
Well done, ladies!
wife35 – How did you know??!
Good work girls! I’m so excited about this. Right in Melbourne too. I’m just sorry that I missed it. Spicks and Specks is very very popular here!
That was incredible! I loved it. Good job the both of you!
I’ve already listened to the whole thing three times.
Oh lord you bitches are funny as hell.
What a great interview! So much fun!
This was delightful. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I’ve just posted at the ABC site thanking them for posting the interview.
I hope you don’t mind, but I’ve also “challenged” Alan Brough to read a romance and post a review here – he’s a very funny man and I think this would be a lot of fun. Who knows, maybe you will hear from him someday with a request to post a review.
Great to hear you girls – the 20 minutes of the interview just sped by.
Hey Candy,
My name is Whitney and I work at The Rediscovered Bookshop. My co-worker Wally (female) and myself nominate that you go to this fabulous restaurant called Bardonay in the Basque Block of downtown and get a Key Lime Pie Martini. We had them last night and they were BEYOND amazing. Let us know if you need company…we just have to be sober before you do your signing 😉
Other than that we highly recommend going to the Botanical Gardens, weather permitting, or go down to Hyde Park, which in itself is amazing, but they have really cool old shops, as well as a cozy bohemian atmosphere.
Let us know if there’s anything we can do for ‘ya!
-Whitney
HIL~ARIOUS!
Ah, he sounds so disappointed about the lack of “wang” and “magic woo woo” in actual novels.
I’m listening again and I love how loud the “whore” in Candy’s “He thinks she’s a WHORE!” comes out. It makes me laugh so hard.
That was a freaking brilliant interview!
I soooo have to get my hands on a copy of Heaving Bosoms…
*wipes tears from eyes and starts searching a heap of online NZ bookstores*
By the end of the interview, he sounded like a willing convert to the genre. Once again, the magic hoo-hoo brings the mighty wang to its knees. Wait, that imagery doesn’t work…
Great interview. As mentioned if you can get some youtube of Spics and Specks you might have some fun.
You know, you two almost killed that man through laughing. There were a few times, I didn’t think he was going to make it.
Thanks for posting the interview – absolutely loved it!
