Happy Christmas from Hachette: A Big Honking Giveaway

Book CoverIf you follow the site, you know that I’m Jewish and Candy is Agnostic Badass but it’s Christmas season here, there, and everywhere, and Hachette’s Forever Romance wants to make sure you have a whopping pile of books to read this holiday season. It’s still Hanukkah, it’s nearly Christmas, and there’s ample time to read, right?

So let’s get going with a Holy Big Honking Ample Prize offering. Leave a comment between right this minute, describing one thing you’d really like, esoteric or literal, this holiday season, and I’ll draw one random winner from the group. For the DH not to be called up by the Reserves.  But I already know he has to go out of country for a month this summer.

  4. gwen says:

What would I like?  I’d like a vacation in Europe where I couldn’t take my work computer or my blackberry.

    Have a happy Holiday.

    Gwen

  5. Michelle says:

One thing I’d like? A job after I graduate (or a big honkin’ pile of books to make up for the failure) 🙂

  6. Lyn says:

What I’d really like? To win! Why? Because I live with 5 men –  84 year old FIL, 39 year old hubby, 13, 11 and 11 months old sons. And a three year old Peki/pug boy dog.

    ‘Nuff said.

  7. Maria P says:

i have a few wishes.. World peace would be nice. But not attainable.

I would love to be able to go back to school and be able to afford it without being in debt for the rest of my carrier.

A kindle would be awesome.. but books are great too.

to be financially stable. Not having to worry if bills are going to be paid, or if I can afford to feed and clothe my daughter.

And a few other personal things, to go right.

Happy Yule to all you Bitches.

my word: looking46 almost there.. too funny

  8. Michelle says:

I would like financial freedom, so I could go back to school.  Also, I’d like a Kindle, because I want to drink the KindleAid.  I’d also like to learn to tolerate the taste of red wine, but I just don’t think it’s going to happen!

Happy (insert your holiday here), Everyone!

  10. Natasha a. says:

Well, if I could say ANYTHING, I like the idea of being debt free and owning my own house.  However, realistically, we got our major thing delivered yesterday.  We bought a really big tv.  It is fun!
    Thanks,
    Natasha

Some one to come and clean my house. Top to bottom. Do all those things I pretend not to notice.

  19. Susan says:

I would love to have someone clean my house!  Unfortunately, I would be embarrassed by the amount of dust/dirt currently residing in it thus I would have to clean it before that person comes to the house!  Hmmm…need to think of something else 🙂  Have a wonderful holiday season and a great 2009 everyone!

  20. Tina S says:

I would love to be able to see my family. I am studying abroad this year and couldn’t afford to go home-and I didn’t feel right to intrude on any of my flatmate’s Christmases with their families. So I have my small tree on the kitchen table and will be opening my gifts tomorrow by myself. For the first time ever.

I know it was my own decision, and I have been away from home for the holidays before, and in much different circumstances. I would still love to see them.

  21. Wendy says:

    🙂

I would love to get into my top choice for school and then get enough money to afford to go

  37. FunkyBunny says:

I would like more willpower.  to lose the weight, to finish the MS, to be a better friend/ wife/ daughter.
If I can’t have that – maybe just a better fitting pair of jeans that don’t show my wonderoos when I sit down.
And a big honkin pile of books would be awesome too!

  38. Berni says:
