The Winnah Of the LOLurve® Contest!

And behold, after much tallying (and tally-men, and bananas, oddly enough), we have arrived at the much-anticipated moment: Teh Winnah!

In a LOLslide, #4, Furbidden Lurl, by Nra Lolbrts is our champion, thus proving the Rule Of Nora: mention of NR + Teh Funny = WIN!

As one voter said, “Not only does Shakespeare get served, but a picture of a cat going down on a dog is pretty rad.”

To our winner, Elizabeth, go the spoils: an unabridged audio CD of Susan Elizabeth Phillips’ Match Me If You Can, a $10.00 Amazon gift certificate, and a Smart Bitch Title®:

And to the voter who was focused on the more essential meaning of our contest, and said, “Thank you for making important art happen”: You are very welcome.

  1. Congratulations, Baroness!  A much deserved win and appropriate title!

I’m thinking that the cat is nursing from the dog.  JMO.  I had a dog who was not pregnant but managed to bring down milk an nurse a very young kitten. And that’s exactly what it looked like.  My friends refused to believe it until they saw it in person. Just sayin’.

  3. AmandaG says:

    Congrats to Elizabeth!

  4. emdee says:

Oh and congrats!  #4 was brilliant!

  5. Congrats! That one was hilarious. This contest was such fun, the hubs and I laughed our asses off reading them the other day.

  6. Gabriele says:

Just well I had finished my ice cream before I clicked on the Smart Bitches. 😀

  7. OMGWTFBBQ?! Ha! This was such a hilarious contest – looking up the pictures was half the fun. Thank you so much!

And what a title for the Smart Bitch Peerage! Onomatopeia’s da bomb, baby. Every civilized language should have a word that describes the comical sound of bouncing cleavage. Taking courses in Japanese, I discovered they had one too: “bon kyu bon,” as in “bon kyu bon kyu bon kyu bon….”

Back on topic – I iz on ur site, LOLzin’ at awl da contest entreez, “I like it ROUGH” and “they plays games i not comfortable with” ezpeshully.

…“Leavin’ drunk man cat with fuzzy ball sac…” I can’t get that song out of my head!

    Sekrit bebeh…too cute…

    Sincerely,

    AnimeJune, Baroness Beaux-dongue D’Onque

  8. Elizabeth says:

    “LOL!” and “Congrats!”

PS: Has anyone ever told you that you have a very cool name?

  9. Congrats to the new Baroness.  That’s the entry I’d have picked too.

Color me stupid.  Could one of the kinder, gentler bitches here explain to me what the new title is getting at?  I usually get a good smirk out of them, but this one just has me scratching my head.

(I hope I’m not becoming one of those innocent misses I don’t write about.)

  10. AnimeJune says:

Sure, Sherry – the title is a play on the word “ba-donk-a-donk,” which is used to describe an especially curvaceous woman – it’s the comical sound of a woman’s bum or breasts bouncing as she walks.

  11. Ines says:

Hey, thank you for the explanation. Being as I am foreigner, I would not have understood what all the other bitches were laughing at!!
BTW, it amuses me how silly things like a dog barking are writen in different languages. For example, in a Spanish comic, you would read guau guau, but in English you would find arf arf, wouldn’t you?
Seems that dogs have different languages too LOL
