We finished 21st in the Predators and Editors poll of Best Writer’s Forums.
Wow! Cool!
But I had to think, “Huh, we’re a writer’s forum?” But given how much craft talkin’ goes on around here, and how much we discuss the process as much as the product, I guess we are!
Thanks for the votes and recognition – that’s pretty cool.

Not to be a niggling bitch or anything :G: but it’s predItors. Like a play on words kinda thing?
And to think I knew you when…
Frankly, I’ve learned more from this site, AAR, and Mrs. Giggles than I ever have from writing workshops. You have a keen insight into what does and does not work in commercial fiction, and you’re honest not only in your dissections but also about any inherent biases you might have. I respect that.
Oh, and you’re funny as all hell, too.
I nominated you guys because I think it’s good for the people in this industry to have it told to them like it is. You guys really are an excellent resource. I’ve utilized a lot of what I’ve read here within my own company, and I truly think it’s been helpful.
I see many others agreed with me. Congrats!
Wow, y’all. It means a lot that you find our site a beneficial resource to your writing. Thank you again!
Any chance this will inspire you to do more entries in your serial novel? Hint. Hint.
Congrats, ladies! It’s a deserved honor.
Congratulations! You are an excellent resource for anyone who is or will write romance. Keep it coming!

God, I’ve been SO BAD about neglecting my serial story, especially after the big move in October. But a solution may be on the horizon: one of my good friends, who’s a law student, is starting up Homework Nights with me. I work on my writing, he works on his reading assignments. We reckon we won’t fuck around as much if we have each other around to keep us honest. That’s the theory, at any rate. It’s an attempt at introducing a bit more discipline into our lives, so hopefully I’ll have at least two nights a week now dedicated to my writing. And the Stupid-Ass Serial Story is high on the list of Things I Need to Work On, right after the five or so reviews I owe SBTB.
I absolutely agree—it’s incredibly valuable to get the unvarnished truth on this site. I swear I’ve learned more about pet peeves and overused plots from your site in the last 6 months than I have from my 3 years with the RWA, an organization I may or may not renew my membership with.
So, well done! You totally deserve it.
