He sought a sleeping beautyHistorian Ashlynn Scott is seeking the fabled castle of Sleeping Beauty.
But with just one kiss, she finds herself tangled up—and tangled in the sheets!—with a rogue adventurer. She might never want to wake up!
And here is Phyllis' review:
A handsome, hot guy (named Raine – I kept forgetting that was the hero) has been hired to follow a beautiful, hot historian (Ashlynn) to be sure she makes it home alive from searching for the pieces to a map that might lead to Sleeping Beauty's castle (long abandoned, she was woken up ages ago). The heroine is Elatyrian and the hero is an Earth guy whose parents were from Elatyria, Kelly's fairy tale dimension that can sometimes be accessed from Earth.
Overall, I liked the story. The hero has been spying on the heroine (and lusting after her) since she was on Earth, searching for a map piece. At the start of the story, he saves her from going into a village where she has hidden her other map pieces, where there are some big, ugly henchmen waiting for her.
They disguise themselves to sneak into the village. They have hot sex (far too soon, IMHO). Not to give too much away, but they find the castle and are madly in love after one day. There wasn’t much conflict between the H&H, no real reason they would be torn apart.
I really enjoy Kelly's Blaze books, but they are like cotton candy – too sweet, a bit bland, and it melts away quickly. I had read this novella not long after it first came out (I'm a sucker for holiday novellas) and didn't remember at all what it was about until I got a chapter or so in on the re-read.
