Today and tomorrow, epic snowdumpus is hitting us in the northeastern US. My area could get a foot or more of snow, which is about 2.4 million centimeters (kidding, it's 30 or more) (I Googled it). I was tweeting away yesterday about my storm prep suggestions, all of which involved finding enough books to weather any emergency:
MORE BOOKS! WE NEED MORE BOOKS!
Yay, Kobo is here to help!
We tried this earlier this week, but it seems the coupon was good for a single book, not your whole order - which wasn't optimal. MORE BOOKS ARE NEEDED.
From now until February 12, 2013, you can get 25% off your order of Harlequin or Mills & Boon books at Kobo with coupon code 25SmartBitches.
That's means it's valid for the entire catalog of Harlequin books, and you get 25% off your order. Valid wordwide, possibly on Mars, but not on the space station.
You do not have to have a Kobo reader to read Kobo books. Much like other major retailers, Kobo has a suite of free apps for reading on smartphones and computers, all of which connect to the Kobo store.
So, to recap:
My apologies for the trouble with the earlier coupon code. This one is much better, I hope. Happy shopping!

Although I am stateside, I am totally impressed that you convinced Kobo to go world wide on their coupon. Yay!

Sarah, thank you! Now to go back to Kobo and see if there is anything else that I want. (yes, I bought 1 with the old code, and then another 4 at full price.)

Xahne - I hope you find plenty that you want to read!

It wasn’t a matter of convincing them, since Harlequin has world rights to many of the books they sell. I originally asked to be alerted to any promotions that were for UK or Australian readers because I know Kobo works very hard to sell globally (for example, some of their catalog is in Dutch or Italian) and I can’t always see promotions for those outside the US. They set up the coupon for everyone with Harlequin and Mills & Boon. Yay!

I couldn’t get more than one book in my “cart” at a time. Actually, it didn’t have a cart—just a “buy now” button, which immediately took me to checkout as soon as I picked a book…so I only got the 25% off of that book. Did I do something wrong?

No—that’s how Kobo works. There is no way to have an order that’s more than one book. So the coupon has to be multi-use.

Phew! As long as it’s just not me being excessively blonde….
