Here are some words that should never, ever begin a review: I am not a romantic suspense fan. It’s true. I’ve said it many times. I’m not a big romantic suspense reader because when I try suspense novels, they let me down. Too much running around in nightgowns, too much violence and not enough romance and sexual tension—or what tension there is gets resolved so quickly that I have to wait for Baddy McBugfuck to meet his or her bloody demise and ... meh. I’m not a fan. If all romantic suspense novels were like Hunt Her Down by Roxanne…

There are a whole mess of pseudonyms out there, including multiple names for writers who publish in various genres. On one hand, choosing a name for yourself again and again might be fun. On the other hand, holy pressure, Batman. (Hmmm. Pseudonym: Pressure Batman?) What makes a good pseudonym? If you’re Leslie Parrish or Roxanne St. Claire, maybe it’s a subtle religious reference. Of course, Roxanne is using her real name. Leslie Parrish’s real actual legal name, if you didn’t know, is Bestselling Powerhouseauthor Withfabulousshoes. She goes by “Bes” among her friends, though. So, what do you think makes a…

What, it’s 1:30 in the morning so technically it’s Thursday, and that’s about as inspirational a title as you’ll get. Jane and I are eating M&Ms and drinking water after a loud and danceful evening of piano bars, tequila, beer, and really, really loud music. My ears are going to ring until Sunday. Jane and I made it over to the conference center today around breakfast time, and even though this is my second RT, I was surprised by how many people I recognized and how many people recognized me. I saw Beth Ciotta (whose hair looks fabulous) when we…

Roxanne St. Claire and her publisher, Pocket Books, are giving away a free novella, the very first in the series to feature a female Bulletcatcher.
Originally part of the holiday anthology I’ll Be Home for Christmas, the story is now online for free download as one big honking PDF that is free, cheezy bread, free. According to the author, it stands alone, doesn’t require any familiarity with the series in order to read it, and is a great opportunity to sample the Bulletcatcher series.
My Kindle says, “Nom nom nom. Delicioso!”
