October 09, 2011 | Sunday | 170 CommentsI spent much of the last day in synagogue, because it’s Yom Kippur, better known as “The day of atonement,” and known in my house when “the day you spend a lot of time in a big room with people who didn’t brush their teeth that morning.” Apparently, Emily Veinglory, Mrs. Giggles and Kate Garrabrant think that there’s something I ought to have been atoning for.
