I was shopping for a birthday present for a 5 year old and realized what an absolute bazooka buffet of Disney princess merchandise there is. It is princesstacular out there. I was sucked into watching a terribly written but strangely compelling Disney movie (Starstruck - do yourself a favor and do not go near it. If you lose two hours of your life, you can’t blame me) and it got me thinking about crack. So imagine you’re a producer for CTV up in Ye Olde Canada, and you have this great idea for a telenovela featuring heavy product placement with Old El Paso, featuring a beautiful woman forced to marry the richest, most evilest evil man in El Paso Viejo. And there’s a pool boy. I think this kind of crazy fun can only happen in Canada.
