Have I mentioned that I really like Texas? I do, it’s true. They have the best beer in America there, and I say that having been raised in close proximity to Iron City, Yuengling, and Rolling Rock - so I know from crap beer. Despite the fact that BookTour insists on informing the world that both Candy and I will be in Durham, NC, this weekend, alas, it is just me. The only appearance where Candy and I will be signing together will be in DC, and details are coming soon, mwaaahahahahaha. Last night’s reading at Powell’s was my first public reading of any sort, barring the Bad Poetry Contests I used to help organize back at the University of Portland, and it couldn’t have gone any better—not even if a horde of My Little Ponies had descended from the heavens and pooped rainbows all over the crowd. The introduction included a warning about blue language and a recommendation that anybody within hearing distance who might be offended to go to the Christian supply store across the street.
