by SB Sarah | July 31, 2010 | Saturday at 7:40 pm | 24 Comments

Sizzling Book ClubTime to announce the next Sizzling Summer Book Club selection! If you’ve got sharp eyes and noticed the ads in the sidebar, the one for the book club gave it away - our next book is All I Ever Wanted by Kristan Higgins.

Book Cover This book is a contemporary romance set in Vermont with a heroine and a hero I loved reading about. I found so much to like in this book and cannot wait to discuss it with you.

I’ll be announcing the next chat session soon - if you have any suggestion of a day of the week or a time of day, please do so in the comments.

You can get a digital copy from the Sizzling Summer Book Club partner All Romance eBooks with a sexy 50% rebate - just use coupon code “SBTBARE” at checkout. You can learn more about the rebate and how you could win an iPod Touch and $100 in eBook Bucks over at their Sizzling Book Club page.

You can also get a paper copy of All I Ever Wanted from any number of fine, fine book vendors, including Book Depository (where the shipping is worldwide, like your pants, free, and very sexy), Amazon, and Powell’s.

Don’t forget - if you’re here at RWA, I will be hosting a live Sizzling Summer Book Club gathering at RWA on Saturday afternoon, 31 July, 3:30 PM at the Il Mulino bar in the Swan Hotel.

I am so excited about this book and hope you enjoy it. Happy romance reading!

Just a comment on the cover: it’s refreshing to see a hero with legs as skinny as my husband’s.

And that dog might not want to sit so close to the business end of a rocking chair, hmm?

I respectfully request that we have a bit more lag time to acquire and read this book than last time. I am ordering….NOW!!!!

After meeting Kristin at the book club pow-wow at the Swan, I’m really looking forward to reading this!  She’s lovely… and very funny - I’m sure the book will be terrific too (downloading now).

Oh - and best of luck with the RITA Kirstin (I do hope you win, because I want to see the pic of you in the fountain at the Dolphin, with your sexy gown and the magic underwear)!

How come Candi doesn’t write blog posts anymore?

Kristan is awesome! I’m so glad her book was chosen for the Book Club selection. I can’t wait to read this one.

Ah! I just turned an ARC of this down in favor or another book! WHY! Ok, I’ll buy it.

SonomaLass said on 08.01.10 at 07:07 AM

I got a KH book at RomCon; can’t remember if it was this one or the one before it (for which she just won the RITA!)  I suppose that’s a win either way.

More headless people.  Blech.  Ordering now and remembering that authors have no control over covers.

That’s why the Irish Setter (?) looks so tense.

I think the rocking chair is part of the story?  In any case, I love Kristan Higgins’ books, especially with a dog on the cover.

Jill Myles said on 08.01.10 at 08:34 PM

I’m reading this right now! And the dog is a husky on the inside of the pages. Maybe they thought a husky wouldn’t photograph as well for the cover? Dunno.

I think I missed the 50% discount….just 48 hrs after announcement? Not that I won’t get the book anyway, but can you list the deadline next time? Pretty please?

I read this last week - really liked it.  Kristan Higgins is an auto-buy author for me.  Love her!  Great choice.

I have read all the books, but seem to miss the book club chats. maybe I’ll get in on this one!

RomanceFan said on 08.02.10 at 06:42 PM

I am so excited about this—Kristan has leapt in record time to my “buy or die” author list.

I think All I Ever Wanted might be her best yet…

Marilyn DeVan said on 08.02.10 at 10:25 PM

Yes, but HIS dog, is an Irish Setter!

SB Sarah said on 08.03.10 at 02:40 AM

Marilyn, out of curiosity, what days work for you, and what time zone? I’m more than happy to take suggestions for times for chat madness, even if I’m up at 3am.

Marilyn DeVan said on 08.03.10 at 03:34 AM

Oh, anytime is fine. I am in Arizona. I just missed the others due to my mother’s illness and death. I would give anything to be able to go to one of the conferences. Maybe my frequent
flyer miles will finally pay off!

This was my first Kristan Higgins AND my first Kindle purchase (a Kindle virgin no more!).  Now to scramble to find the rest of her books.  A very enjoyable read!

Oh yeah there is so much fodder to discuss in this selection. I am so excited I could, like, strangle a moose!

Teri C said on 08.13.10 at 05:53 PM

hmmm. I am wondering if we will be having a chat sometime, and also then what the next book to read will be?

SB Sarah said on 08.13.10 at 06:13 PM

Yup! The announcement will go up in a day but the chat will be Friday 20 August, 9pm EDT/6pm PDT US, and I’ll be announcing the next book next week.

Yay! So many people have emailed me about this book, and I can’t wait to hear what you thought of it.
