Thanks, Rick O. (And SBTB).
Re: “upsuck:” isn’t vaginal mucus vaguely colloidal? So, if you agitate it (as might happen during the muscular twitch during female orgasm), isn’t it possible that the medium that spermatozoa are traveling through becomes more fluid and easier to navigate? Is it possible female orgasm just the equivalent of shaking up a ketchup bottle?

That was entertaining and informative both. I had read some of it, but the pig part was a hoot!

I knew about that guy with the hiccups! It was in the Harvard Health Letter three or four years ago. I posted this tidbit on my blog, and within a week, a friend had written a fanfiction story (for mature readers only, obviously) based on it.
But dude. The guy and the pig. Yikes.

I’ve read all of Mary Roach’s books (Stiff, Spook, and Bonk). Her books are great- humor, science, empathy, curiosity and respect all rolled into one very informative read. Personally I loved Stiff, the Curious Lives of Cadavers, the best. I would recommend any of her books to you if you enjoyed her above presentation.

This is slightly off-topic…but this video got me and a few others in a bit of “you have violated the rules” type trouble on an IRC channel. (Hey! Who can blame us for talking about it and snickering?) So, we were wondering, does anyone know of a good IRC channel to talk about trashy books? :)
