More Squeeing over Covers? But of course!

Seriously - she won the cover lottery? She made a deal with a powerful deity regarding her book art? Wow!
I asked Ms. Cast who the artist was, so we could give him squeeful mad props, and she told me his name is Matt Mahurin. I googled him but found several references to photography, but not to cover illustrations, so I’m hestiant to bust out with the linkage.
But I am not hesitant to give a peek at Mr. Mahurin’s latest PC Cast cover - with a special note: Sir! Thank you for lush covers that evoke romance that insult neither our sensibilities nor our intelligence!

I love all of PC’s covers. I should have stuck with my plan to put gum in her hair and toss all her clothes out the window while we were in Reno. Stupid missed opportunity!

The new cover made me squeel outloud! And, yes, they’ve all be PHREAKISHLY PHABULOUS. Wait till you see the special effects - glitter in the headdress of stars, foil on the letters. (Ah, crap, I’m drooling on myself.) Again. Berkley went darker with this one because it’s a retelling of Beauty and the Beast…blood rituals…and my beast, uh, well, stays a beast. Talk about some kinky sex. YEA!
God, I love this book!

I just did some Googling of Matt’s name myself, adding “cover” to the search. It appears that he is a photographer and photoillustrator who has done illustrations and cover art for Time magazine as well as for books. Even though the illustration styles are very different (one of the Time illustrations I saw looks hand-drawn and airbrushed, while the rest are straight or manipulated photos), I have no doubt that it’s the same person.
Thanks for sharing the artist’s name. I now have someone to look up to—I’d LOVE to illustrate for Time, wow!

Beautiful cover PC! Absolutely stunning. I think it’s my favorite Goddess cover.
Gena, your Awaken Me Darkly cover is very gritty and sexy. Defintely one of my favorite images.
