Author Jim C. Hines has recreated several UF covers. This is so awesome, I don't know where to put my eyeballs first!

However, if the site shows a price of $3.99 crossed out in favor of a price of $2, that should mean that you eventually pay $2 for that book, whether you pay it at checkout or whether they send you a rebate of cash later. Giving you a voucher that you can use later for a future purchase means that particular book never costs you $2, which is what I find misleading.

Initially, it took me some time to get used to it, and I didn't see the point, but I now shop there all the time. The rebates come in most handy for me, and work most like actual discounts, during their big sales. That's when I plan out my shopping so that I buy just enough for the rebates to cover the cost of the other half of the books I want to buy.

Sadly, this isn't true. I just went to order this book and discovered that although the site misleadingly makes it appear that the book will cost $2 after rebate (http://www.allromanceebooks.co..., in fact, you only get a credit at the store for the discounted amount and you can only use it on a future purchase. (They make a distinction between "rebates" and "discounts.") I had an online conversation with their customer support people in which they claimed that this is how all rebates work, such as for electronics and the like, but of course that's not true -- you might have to pay full price at the time but the rebate amount you get afterward is *for that purchase* and they don't require you to buy some other electronic item and use the discount on that. I find the All Romance site's policy very dodgy and will not be buying anything from them in the future.

I haven't read the book, but my eye is always drawn to it when I see it in a store, simply because I can't help staring at the angle of her left leg.

I never saw the initial post about Alison Richardson but, of course, had to download the three books once I read about them. :-) You are so bad for my wallet!

Spiderman comic cover being the most famous). It's the only time Liefeld (some examples: http://www.progressiveboink.co... is extremely entertaining.
