It’s here, it’s here! Commence bosom-heaving, because our book, Beyond Heaving Bosoms is officially launched today - even though folks who ordered it online have already received it, and a few people have found it in various locations in their local bookstore. I’ve got sighting pictures and posed images of the book here, there, and everywhere, but more than that, I have serious ants in my pants. I didn’t think 14 April would ever get here. (I am guessing a few accountants have had this thought, too).

My bosoms are heaving with excitement, the book just arrived in the mail! Yay for http://www.bookdepository.co.uk! (And if it wasn’t for Easter, the book would have arrived on Friday. *mumble, grumble* Oh well, I can’t complain about a four-day weekend, can I?) Now I need to turn off my phone, shut off the computer and ignore the world while I read. I think I’ll forego snacks and beverages—wouldn’t want to choke or spray the room (or worse yet, the book!) with stuff! LOL.

Congratulations Candy and Sarah, enjoy your big day!

Oh, and I need to charge the battery for my camera and go on the hunt for interesting pictures! After I’m done reading, of course.

I had already purchased it at BooksonBoard and love it. I downloaded it as soon as possible after the link was activated. I even reviewed it. Here’s what I had to say.

I ordered mine from Amazon before Amazonfail. It should get here any hour now. *tapping foot impatiently* Thoroughly enjoyed the first chapter on the Simon & Schuster site, and the flow chart on the NPR site. My local Borders (where I used to work) didn’t have it on their computer as being ordered for the store, but one of the managers ordered it. Cause I asked them too! LOL If I was still there it would have been ordered a long time ago, and shelved where you could see it!

I am considering returning mine to Amazon and re-ordering it on BOB!!!

Already read my copy and gave it a place of honor on my bookshelves. Even got my husband interested when he wanted to know what was causing paroxysms of laughter - he enjoyed my reading of the section on appropriate occupations of heroes.

I am very excited. I got my kindle copy this morning when I turned on my whispernet. Can’t wait until this weekend so I can go out and find a copy in my B&N as well!!

Congrats on the book release! And my DVR is set to record Steven and Chris. Those guys work out in my gym and Chris is always flipping his hair. Well, he has fairly short hair… but does the head action as if he was flipping long hair. Cracks me up.

Woo hoo! I just finished watching Sarah on Steven and Chris and it was fabulous. What a wonderfully articulate, well-read, intelligent woman. She was so engaging and it was obvious that Chris enjoyed every minute of the interview. Thanks for such a strong promotion of the romance genre, letting women know that it’s okay to read, and write, romance novels.

I hope everyone gets a chance to see the interview. Some of it is just so funny. I nearly wet my pants when she talked about the hero’s role and how it has changed. Can’t wait to read the book. Sarah, or perhaps the publisher, generously gave everyone in the studio audience a copy of the book. Bravo! I was so jealous.

I’ve been tracking the sales rank of BHB on that retailer that shall not be named, and after the NPR broadcast, the ranking hit #472 overall! I don’t know how that translates in terms of general sales nation and worldwide, but I hope it’s an utter crapload of books!

Thanks to a head cold, I was flipping channels and caught Sarah Wendell on the Steven and Chris Show. What a blast! Chris was so enjoying himself as were half the closet romance readers in the audience.

Hooray for Bosoms! I just picked up my copy from the store and I’m really looking forward to reading it, especially after listening to the NPR interview. Even my husband (who was in the room at the time) said that it was a pity they didn’t let you talk for longer.

I just happened to take the day off today, and just watched the Stephen & Chris piece. ADORABLE! Both of you.

Now, given that I’m visibly home today, why the Postie left me a parcel pickup notice instead of my damned book! That I now cannot pick up until after 6:00! GRRRRRR And therefore cannot read for the majority of my day off! Grrrrrrrrrr.

I got it, read it, and reviewed it—all through “the retailer that shall not be named” (good one, Robin!) before the kafuffle. I canceled the other order I had pending, and will have to go buy those books elsewhere. So far I can report no bookstore sightings in Wine Country, but I’m having fun looking for it and asking clerks where I might find it—I printed out the info page, which I present helplessly at each store and ask, “where would you suggest I look for this book?” Borders says it would be in Romance “with similar titles” IF they had it, but they don’t, just available to order. The B&N in downtown Santa Rosa says they have it, though, so I’m heading that way this afternoon, camera phone in hand!

Nothing on the CBC website (I think I found the right one), so I went looking directly using Google Video. I found SBSarah at Lady Jane’s salon and talking about “the troubling divide between male geeks and female readers, and how ebooks might reconsider this problem” (Tools of Change 2009). I also found this: Ode to Wendell. I don’t think it’s dedicated to our Smart Bitch, but it is kind of funny.

So far, no video of the appearance on Steven and Chris that I can find, but I’ll look again.

Man, I am so freakin’ bummed! I bought BOSOMS and a bunch of other books from B.O.B. in what I thought was the correct format (Adobe), then discovered only one of the files is capable of being opened on my computer. I’ve never had this problem before. AAAAARRRGGGHHH!!!

It usually takes a couple of days for them to have a full episode up. Sarah will be on episode 122. Maybe it will be up sooner somewhere else. I want to see it too!
