There’s three meals a day,

OK Sarah, get as much rest as you can. I’ve never had a C-section, but I have had a hysterectomy, and for the first couple of weeks after, I needed LOTS of sleep. And after that, I felt pretty good, but it took a few weeks to get my stamina back.
C-section recovery must be tougher though ‘cause it follows a pregnancy.
verification word: look56. I’ve been having trouble sleeping, so I probably do. And I’m only 45. Yeah,OK, 46 in a couple weeks!

(And a snort at smartmensab-tch’s verification word. I’m 45 in a couple of weeks, but got mistaken today for a friend’s mother, and was congratulated on my ‘grandchildren.’ At least the person thought they were gorgeous and well-behaved!! )

Glad the percocet is working for you. All it did to me was make me sleep.
I’m guessing your hospital must be like mine was, only 2 channels on the tv and nothing to do but walk in circles around the floor while baby was sleeping. I would have been all over the internet, too, if we had brought the computer. lol

Awwwww. What a sweetie! I agree with previous posters. I just wanna smell his head. Nothing smells better than baby head. Baby butt….not so much.

Oooh! Lots of hair!
In some cultures, it’s good luck to shave the head of the baby. I thought that was an urban legend, until I saw it with my own eyes. Of course, some of those same cultures also marry off first cousins, so I guess they trust their luck more than most…

Congratulations and a hearty welcome to Baba O’Reilly.
Your birth experience sounds very similar to mine last Nov. Went in to be induced, party never started, ended up with a c-section and a 10 lb baby boy. I recovered pretty quick. One tip, take the pain meds when the pain is tolerable because it will shortly not be tolerable and they won’t work as well. Trust me.

You know, all the talk about Baba’s wonderful hair reminds me that when I had my first baby, she literally had peach fuzz (little redhead) We were living in the United Arab Emirates at the time and most of the local girls who came to visit us recommended that we shave off all that yucky newborn hair (that’s not what they said but it was implied) so that her real hair would grow in thicker.
I did not take their advice!! And her real hair is just fine, thanks :)
