Guess That Lonely Heart

by SB Sarah | December 10, 2005 | Saturday at 2:44 am | 10 Comments

It’s late - sorry. I actually exited the house, with Hubby and baby, and of course that took about six years longer than it should have!

You know the drill - heroine’s name, author’s name, title of book: first to name all three gets a Smart Bitch Titleâ„¢.

Serious Ick Factor Ahead!

Granted we won’t get a full-length book, but daredevil pilot seeks studly man for hot monkey sex. To hell with what the neighbors think - no, wait, I do care what the neighbors think. It makes for easy conflict between us, even if you’re really hot and your schwang is large and you’ve been saving yourself for me since I was your babysitter as a child, and… damn, try a little harder to give Sarah a case of the Icks next time, k?

Is it Jude Deveraux’s The Invitation. The heroine is Jackie O’Neill. I hope I got it this time. :)

dammit!  this is the second one in a row that I knew but didn’t win because I don’t get there in time.  Is there a set time for these contests?  I want a title.

Ick!  Ick!  I remember this one.  Cool title, btw.

Not the book title, the cool title is Elisabeth’s title.  The book title is a little “ick”.

Shoot, didn’t look until now and this was the first one I KNEW.  I actually think about this story pretty often and the conflict and the age discrepancy esp. lately since I’ve just finished a May-December (with the usual woman young/man much older) book…sigh.

I am a major lurker but I have to delurk this time because I absolutely loved this story. I don’t get the ick factor. Really! Somebody please explain it to me…or maybe not. I like having my illusions intact ;)

I think the ICK factor comes from the babysitter/babysitte relationship. I’m much older than my sibs, and once they hit their teens, my sibs’ friends would regularly develop crushes on me. It would have been DISGUSTING for me to take advantage of those boys, though (kind of like the 37 year-old woman in Georgia who got knocked up by and then married her fifteen year old lover).
