Friday Videos: Are you ready to see the Batusi done to the Macarron Chacarron?

by Candy | February 15, 2008 | Friday at 11:48 pm | 25 Comments

This video sort of defies description. All I’ll say is that you’ll get to see Adam West as Batman doing the Batusi with a buncha white people in Egyptian drag.

We have hardcore, emocore, nerdcore, queercore—behold, we now have tardcore! (Props to Katie [of Nebula Haiku fame] for that word.)

What are you bitches trying to do to my poor brain? Augh! I don’t even know what to think. And yet I can’t wait for my husband to get home so I can show it to him.

What Cori said *fascinated… and not in a good way*

It was the bat surfshorts that finally cost me my composure.

Dear, dear lord…

Yeah, what’s up with that???

I believe I speak for all of us when I say W…T…F?!?!

I appreciate the effort, truly I do.  Ex-teachers and women who’ve had enthusiastic but bad lays always appreciate the effort.  But I couldn’t watch this all the way through if the coming of spring depended on it.

I had no idea how large a part dancing played in Batman’s crime fighting…I find that intriguing.

However, that CLEARLY was a fake shark. Come on now..

Gods bless Adam West, I never realized what a good sport he was. I lost it when Flipper tried to gnaw off his leg.

Wry Hag I know what you mean, I was going to turn it off but was too lazy, and oddly enough it got, erm, better doesn’t seem quite the right word here.

What I don’t understand is why he didn’t just JUMP the shark?

Charlene said on 02.16.08 at 06:29 AM

Oh, he jumped the shark years ago.

I actually laughed myself to tears, the husband too.

Kimberly Van Meter said on 02.16.08 at 07:27 AM

That is soooo funny! Thanks for the laugh.

...speechless…

MaryKate said on 02.16.08 at 04:51 PM

Well. That was just…wow.

Okay, that actually made me laugh harder than the video.  (Probably because I had trouble getting through the whole thing, too—especially when the “singer” was going “eh weh weh weh wehoooo” or whatever that slurred bit was.)

HOWL!!

That’s just insane! Fridays are always better with you Bitches.

What? No Superman dat ho?

I’ve seen the “Ualelele” thing a dozen times, but this is the first time I’ve seen the whole song set to Batman. It reminds me of this really amusing Star Trek video:

lead67: Like the paint chips the people who made this song must’ve been chewing?

LMAO Lisabea. Omg. That song gives me nightmares.

I heart Adam West. And even though the song sounded like it was being sung by a stroke victim it wasn’t that bad. LOL.

That was the most cracktastic thing I have seen. I’m glad I was drinking anything while watching it.. or maybe alcohol would have enhanced the experience. I’m definitely sharing the link for this.

Aw, the video says it’s been removed! No Chacabatusi for me. huh… that didn’t work as a word. But neither did tardcore! omg, the word “retard” and its nicknames are nooooot ready for appropriation.

When I saw César Romero as the Joker, with a moustache that points upwards, I thought he looked a lot like Dalí. And Dalí was a surrealist/Dadaist, so from that perspective, the strange babbling of the lyrics and the weird juxtapositions of images would sort of make sense.

Kate said on 02.21.08 at 06:52 AM

Oh dear god, thank you, thank you.

I’m a big fan of “Family Guy” and the only thing I could think about during the first half was Mayor West doing that dance. Love it.

Kate said on 02.21.08 at 07:01 AM

Oh dear, it gets better…my boyfriend can identify each episode.
