Wow, that was amazing. Made me all sniffly, in a good way.
My kids and I joke that the reason I use my debit card for shopping is that it feels so good to have the little machine say “approved”—everyone needs a dose of approval now and then.

I was once at a therapist’s office with my parking ticket, and I took it to the receptionist. She told me, “We don’t validate.” I answered, “That’s why I’m here.” She didn’t get it.
Which reminds me of when I was at a game arcade and there was a booth with the sign REDEMPTION over it. I thought if it was just a matter of winning at Skee-Ball to receive redemption, I’d be all over that.
Also—I used to work at a bookstore, and was quite tempted to be a smart ass whenever people asked where the Self Help section was. And that segues into me once seeing a Depression For Dummies book.

Oh TJ Thyne *Heart sigh*
This was Great. Awesome! This just made my day.
I am having my 15 year old Basenji dog, Fiona, put to sleep tomorrow due to a huge tumor in her stomach that has caused her intestines and lungs to be compressed. It was discovered on Thursday. The vet gave me this last weekend to spend with her… and I really needed a cute pick-me up to break up the doldrums. Thanks for sharing this video!
