All of a sudden I want to watch some Star Trek… strike that, I want to watch lots and lots of Star Trek! (What I can’t believe is that she’s going to let him walk away with her ereading device! Talk about a reason to put a dagger in his throat!)

I think I’ve read that book. Also, she ought to set that reader to sepia and dim the display. She’ll strain her eyes reading like that.

I wish we had Klingon romance available to read *sigh* I used to role play (email, text based role playing) in the Start Trek Universe (the classic one, not the new, alternate universe one). I was the cook in a Klingon battleship, can’t remember if it was an actual Bird of Prey. I acted as comedy relief and was starting a “romance” with another member of the crew who loved to drop by the kitchen unannounced, finding excuses to bicker with me). The timeline was that of DS9, during the war against the Dominion, in which the Klingon Empire and the Federation became allies against the Dominion. Fun times.

Well I know my day’s gonna be good when it starts off with ice cream for breakfast, a Tom/B’Elanna video on my Google Reader (they are like totally one of my favorite pairings ever because I have a thing for relationships that start out of intense antagonism), and will end with a viewing of Iron Man 2 tonight. Yay, Friday!

Even though I hated Voyager (I have Chakotay issues) I did love B’Elanna. I don’ blame her, take my book and you die.

As for Klingon men, Worf tells how it’s done.

@quichepup - For me it was Janeway. Something about her was off. I don’t know if it was the actress who played her or the way she was written. All I know is Janeway turned me off of Voyager.

I did have a thing for The Doctor, however….

@Donna - It doesn’t hurt that he can sing. Same with Brent Spiner as Data. I just love a man who can belt out some Sinatra - even though I’m more of a fan of Sammy Davis Jr.

OMG, totally have to start watching Star Trek (I grew up with the original and loved it). May have to start writing me some Klingon romances if I can figure out how. Or find some. With all the fanfic out there, there must be some. Any links, anyone?

Being hot for Spock as a kid (okay, I was three and the most I knew to dream about was holding his hand) I want to read some Vulcan romances.

That being said, I think Data and his programs for “a wide variety of pleasuring” is more tempting….

Voyager was the first ST series I watched, and I think the thing with Janeway was that she was a fairly flawed captain stuck in an unexpectedly crap situation trying to make the best of it. She did grow on me through the seasons.
Now the thing that pissed me off with the finale was the random Seven/Chakotay. It was just sooo utterly random and just there because I always felt there was this underlying story between Janeway and Chakotay but I suppose they decided to not go there. (they should have!)

That’s probably because Janeway was engaged to someone back on earth and even though he might’ve “moved on” in that time, there’s still something about us humans that want to see people holding out for their long lost love.

Besides, the man she left behind was taking care of her two dogs. You don’t dump a man who’s been taking care of your dogs while you’re gallivanting around the universe.

I just can’t help but think if a different actress played her I might’ve warmed up to Janeway more.
