When hubby was stationed at Ft Lewis, I used to LOVE to take my kids out to Point Defiance. We never saw the sea otters stacking cups, but we did love to watch the walruses, and the belugas would come hover near the plate glass whenever all the kids would start singing “Baby Beluga.” Awesome, awesome place! :D

There are few things cuter than otters, this one in particular. Keep in mind that these cuties are strong enough to drown a dog that’s been sent to defend a fisherman’s nets. I don’t say this as a criticism, just that, having lived with an Otterhound, I know why they were bred for webbed feet, hard coats and strength as swimmers. Personally, I hope otters (and hounds and fishermen) live long, healthy lives.
