Watching that, it’s kind of hard to fathom where the stereotype of male ballet dancers being wussy came from.
*Le Sigh!* Absolutely beautiful, the artist and the dance.
Just beautiful. To have that much control over a body – and a spectacular one at that! Just wonderful choreography and music too. I’ve forwarded the link many folks already this morning. Thanks.
That’s incredible, though I have to confess that I first thought he was stark naked and wondered how he was keeping it together <blush>. That’s not why I clicked on the link of course.</blush>
The funny: we were not smiling during a dress rehearsal, and one of the gals in my dance group grabbed a pic of this guy from a bulletin board in the studio and stuck it over the mirror.
NOW it might make me smile. I need to motion-visual, not just the muscles.
Brilliant.
Incredible. I can’t even begin to fathom how much discipline it takes to achieve that level of skill and control. So when are we going to get a ballet dancer romance hero?
Sarah Mayberry has a dancer hero (contemporary rather than traditional ballet, I think) in her book Amorous Liaisons. I believe he is retired when the book begins but the h/h have a history.
holey crap, that’s amazing! <drool></drool>
Nora Roberts wrote a ballet dancer hero – Dance of Dreams. It’s the second book after Reflections.
And Pauline, I thought the same thing at first! I really hoped he wasn’t nekkid because dangly parts would have taken away from the beauty of the dance.
So, for a minute I thought it was going to be a comedy video with the ol’ twigs and berries flopping about. Yikes! I’m glad it was this beautiful video instead. (Or am I?)
OMG, I am sitting here (home from work ‘cuz I’m sick) and thinking, after watching that hunka, hunka twirling man, wondering if I’m getting a fever as it just got HOT in here. Superb is just one of the words that comes to mind as I watched him. Delish is another. How about Superlishous? I would also love to read a book about a ballet hero… it’s getting hot in here again….
Amazing! And did anyone see this in the related videos: http://youtu.be/0dSeYecM6wA
Took my breath away!
I almost cried. Beautiful.
mesmerising
That was gorgeous. 🙂
That was incredible
Le Sigh … I love culture.
I grew up doing ballet, and this man looks so much like my teachers son (an amazing dancer) that it almost makes tears spring into my eyes with nostalgia.
Being a ballet dancer myself, I was watching with a critical eye, but it was perfect. How gorgeous. Thanks for posting. The most moving part was when the curtain opened and you realized he’d been dancing for himself the whole time. Now that’s what makes a true artist. Bravo.
Thanks for sharing this. I didn’t know what to expect when I clicked on it, but it is beautiful, and it just made my day.
