According to the Mashable article, “American composer and conductor Eric Whitacre spliced together nearly 250 submitted YouTube videos to form an online choir” after spreading the word via social media.

Eric Whitacre is one of my favorite contemporary composers. I attended a lecture/clinic of his a few years back and he seems like a genuinely nice guy. Not too hard on the eyes, either! Excited to see the video here!

The only thing better than listening to it is singing it. :D “Sleep” and “Cloudburst” are my other favorites of his. He is truly a choral genius; he makes dissonance sound like ear candy. mmm….
