Free for Kindle: Richelle Mead’s “Thorn Queen”
by SB Sarah | July 21, 2009 | Tuesday at 7:58 pm | 14 Comments
Free for Kindle! Richelle Mead’s Thorn Queen, the second book in the Dark Swan series, is free at Amazon prior to the August 4 release date.
Wait, hold up. The Kindle book is free prior to the release of the paper?
You’ll have to excuse me now. The foundations of the universe are going to crack and I have to find an interior room to weather the storm.
[Thanks to Sandia for the heads up.]

Argh. Now I’m even more frustrated about my Kindle being out of commission. (First one: Died. Just ... Completely died.
So they sent me a replacement that isn’t working. I’m still waiting to hear back from the super specialist division of thy Amazon Kindle.)
Anyway ... Thanks for the tip. I just wrote myself a reminder on a good, old-fashioned, reliable sticky.

I wonder why the second book and not the first?

I liked the first well enough that I probably would have bought the second but free? I’m on it.

That means I have to buy the first, Storm Born, doesn’t it?

Is it true, Thorn Queen is free?

Ordered it earlier this afternoon. I thought I had just missed it, didn’t realize that it had not been released in a deadtree version yet. Someone is getting brave. Hope it pans out.

*sigh* I so seriously need to get a Kindle, if only for all the freebie books that are scattered across the internet. I guess I’m one of the few remaining poor souls who haven’t delved into the techno world…

Amy I get the kindle books on my ipod touch using the kindle app. It comes in handy for the freebies.

Jenns - you can still buy it now even if you don’t have your Kindle. It’ll just be downloaded to your kindle once you get it back.

Thanks, Sandia. I think that’s what I’ll do.
Yet another replacement is due to arrive today, but considering my luck these days, I don’t think I’ll wait.

I got an early copy of the paperback of Thorn Queen and really enjoyed it. I’d love to see a review of it by “The Bitches”!
