Had to vote for Nathan, because 1) he was the consummate gentelman as he passed on repping me and 2) he gave me the idea for my mystery—that my agent has at 4 publishers being read (oh please oh please oh please). It’s more than looks.

I’ve thought Nathan was cute for a looong time. Must be the surfer dude thing. That, and I really enjoy reading his blog every now and then.

Most of them are cute in a hipster sort of way, but why does it have to specifically be straight guys?  Eye candy is eye candy, as far as I’m concerned, regardless of where they choose to stick it in their private time.

I had to vote Emo.

I voted Emo, too, but I have to echo the responses of many of you— these guys all look way too young. Sigh. Guess I’ve always had a thing for older men, starting with my Michael Rennie obsession when I was around eleven. Oh, well.

Who picked these guys?  Chris Keesler of Dorchester is better looking than all of them.  I just saw him on YouTube.

I had to vote Nathan, been a bit of a fangirl for His Hotness for a while lol.  It’s the windblown surfer thing and the heavy brows.  Hot. 

Plus the other guys (except the guy with the drink) did nothing for me.

They all look perfectly grown up to me.  In fact some of them, dare I say it, even look older than me! (So, yeah, I hope they were out of nappies in ‘87, I sure was).

I went for surfer-boy too.  Although I was very nearly taken in by the kitten—but then, that’s practically cheating, isn’t it?  A kitten?  Who could resist?

I voted for Brent because at 6’ 8” he’s tall enough to reach the top shelves which is all I would want from a male his age….they all look like friends of my son’s and that makes me old… so flippin’ old it makes me feel like a perv to even vote in this contest…. but we do what we must *grin*

I voted for Matt.  He looks like every guy I ever crushed on from afar in high school and college but was too insecure to approach.

I just wonder what would have happened if they had the same contest but for women? Why is it objectifying for women and not for men?

Oh, it’s objectifying men, anon. No doubt about it. Some people just don’t think that objectifying is automatically a very bad thing.

Brent’s height is attractive (I like tall men) but the kitten effect is canceled out by that awful cap.

Adam Rosen looks like John Corbett, which isn’t a bad thing. Southern boy is cute too.

I’ve looked up Chris Keesler on youtube. He looks like John Corbett but better looking. I had to vote for the emo guy. What was with all the guys looking the same. Are there no publishers over the age of 35? Or non white publishers?

Mmmm. I like pretty boys.

Dang, okay yeah, just went to look up Chris Keesler and I hafta say, if he was on that list he would have won by a landslide!  Wowza, very pretty.

I voted for Dude With Beer.  I’m hoping that he is, in fact, old enough to drink that beer - just admiring these boys is making me feel Cougarish.  But, I like a guy who appreciates a good beer.

I’m too young to complain about their age (and look too much younger than my real age to assume they’re all as young as they look), but they do seem to all be the same type.  I’d think if you’d think one of them is hot, you’d think they were all hot.  On the other hand… eh, some of them might come across as hot if I knew more about them, but none of them are doing it for me as eye candy alone.

I voted for the kitten dude.  The kitten combined with his profile made my decision.  I WANTED to vote for the dude with a beer.  I am TRYING to be led by personality and not what makes the nips hard. 

Now.  If this were a bar and I was turned loose to pick as I wished…well…I mean…I gotta wake up next to someone that makes me want to stay in bed right?  Maybe I shoulda voted for dude with beer.  Maybe I need to remember this is already taking up too much of my brain activity and get back to work before I lose my job.

Darn it, where were these guys when I was single?  (snark, blush)  Oh yeah.  Grade school…..

I guess I’m not really getting the appeal there… None of them seem attractive to me.  But then again Brad Pitt isn’t attractive to me either, so maybe my attraction meter is off by most peoples standards.  Either way there’s no eye candy for me there.

I voted for Matthew Hilliard - he’s a cutie pie although he makes me want to give him five bucks to mow my lawn for that band trip he’s taking next summer. I am old. He’s still cute though and I’d find an excuse to watch out the window while he worked. 

And I am totally objectifying him, by the way - which, I’d wager is the tongue in cheek reason for this poll with those pictures which i doubt were posted without the knowledge of these guys in the first place.

I do wish there was a little more, um, diversity?  In both age and ethnicity.

I’ve seen Chris Keesler in person at conferences.  Way better looking in the flesh cause those gorgeous eyes are phenomenal!
How can they not include Adam Neville at Black Lace?  Hot & British accent to match.
