An alert web surfer, aka my web-addicted friend RB, notified me that Smart Bitches was nominated for a Blogger’s Choice Award in three categories - Best Entertainment Blog, Best Pop Culture Blog, and Best Humor Blog.
SWEET! Thanks for the nomination! There is some very very steep competition in those field so I’m not sure we’ll get that far, especially since you have to register to vote at the site.
But I am full of squee and kvell at two points: one - we got an Adult Content warning! I’m so proud!
And two - I am so curious as to what the puffy dude is doing to our website. Have a look:
Is he caressing our site lovingly? Is he holding it forcibly away from him? Or, is he about to get down and dirty through the back door? The Ladies look on in horror.

It’s a big Monday in my world - I’m back at my job, as opposed to home with Baba O’Riley in my slippers watching public television in HD. So since I’m wearing shoes and socks as opposed to slippers and have on a completely matching and professional-looking outfit, of course my brain, it is not focused. It’s been largely in “WTF?” mode all day.
So all that is a long way of saying, “Oops. I forgot.” My head, and 3/4 of my cleavage, are on Romance Novel tv today, talking about series books, and what I like about them, and what I don’t. I talk with my hands a lot, too. Why do I do that? No idea.

I’m back on Romance Novel.tv today, talking about Dark Lover. The text says I’m talking about Lover Unbound, but that was later. We filmed this right after I finished reading Dark Lover, and hadn’t engaged in reading the continued and growing traihn wrehck that is the rest of the series. That first one, it was the crack. And I talk about racial ambiguity and homogenization of romance and how few interracial couples there are in mainstream romance.
Candy is going to post her review here, since technical difficulties prevented us from appearing together when we filmed those segments. So stay tuned.
