Rob, the webmastermind for RomanticTimes, has posted his entry about the Lady Jane’s Salon, and it is complete with video of Leanna Hieber’s reading of Jenna Petersen’s book.
There is also an absolutely horrific epicbad picture of me and Ron Hogan. While everyone else at the party is apparently a master of the art of posing for maximum good-photoness, Ron and I look like the prom shot from hell. And there’s a model posing very provocatively over my shoulder. Wow. I am so proud. (*headdesk*)

I have three videos from last night’s Lady Jane’s Salon, starting with Lauren Willig reading from The Temptation of the Night Jasmine.
Note: sound quality is not the most majestic thing in the world. I found it best to lower the volume on the YouTube player, but then adjust the tone and volume of my computer speakers. Sorry for the quality.

If you’re in the NY metro area, how you like that storm that really wasn’t as bad as the Weather Channel was hyperventilating that it would be? Six inches? I sneeze at your measly six inches!
Snow won’t stop me, nor any of the other romance fans, so if you’re looking for something fun to do this evening, I and my hiking boots and warm socks will be at Lady Jane’s Salon, the romance fiction reading series created by Maya Rodale, Hope Tarr and Leanna Renee Hieber, along with Ron Hogan. Tonight: Lauren Willig and, possibly, depending on air traffic, Jenna Peterson, will be reading. Admission is $5 or a gently used romance novel, and the reading takes place at Madame X, 94 Houston Street, at 7pm.
I’ll be there, and I’m going to try to set up a mobile Bitchery HQ and see if I can’t upload video or at the very least some reports from the reading.

In an odd juxtaposition of entries I just wrote and books I just started, I am in the Met, underneath the portrait of Madame X, reading an excerpt of Laura Kinsale, watching tourists take pictures of the Monets.
