Books on Sale: Jill Mansell, Katie McGarry and Robyn Carr Contemporaries

Book Nadia Knows BestNadia Knows Best by Jill Mansell is $1.99 today only at BN and Amazon. It's normally about $10 or more. This is a reissue of a 2002 novel – with people caught in a snowstorm, which is totally my catnip.

When Nadia Kinsella meets Jay Tiernan, she's tempted. Of course she is. Stranded together in a remote Cotswold pub, with a snowstorm raging outside—let’s face it, who would ever know?

But Nadia’s already met The One. She and Laurie have been together for years—they’re practically childhood sweethearts, and she still gets goosebumps at the sight of him.

Okay, maybe she doesn’t see that much of him these days, but that’s not Laurie’s fault. She can’t betray him.

Besides, when you belong to a family like the Kinsellas—bewitchingly glamorous grandmother Miriam, feckless mother Leonie, stop-at-nothing sister Clare—well, someone has to exercise a bit of self-control, don’t they? I mean, you wouldn’t want to do something that you might later regret.

Book Pushing the LimitsRECOMMENDED:  Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry is half off at Amazon today at $4.39. This book was a Sizzling Book Club Pick, and it's some powerful, emotional YA. I loved this book.

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with “freaky” scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night.

All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common.

And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible. Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away.

And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

Book The Newcomer The Newcomer is book 2 in Robyn Carr's new series set in Thunder Point. I read the first book, The Wanderer, and gave it a B-. Ienjoyed reading it a lot, even though the romance was often secondary to setting up the community of the series. The Newcomer is marked down to $3.99 – which is kind of cool since it's brand new.

Single dad and Thunder Point's deputy sheriff “Mac” McCain has worked hard to keep everyone safe and happy.

Now he's found his own happiness with Gina James. The longtime friends have always shared the challenges and rewards of raising their adolescent daughters. With an unexpected romance growing between them, they're feeling like teenagers themselves-suddenly they can't get enough of one another.

And just when things are really taking off, their lives are suddenly thrown into chaos. When Mac's long-lost-and not missed-ex-wife shows up in town, drama takes on a whole new meaning.

They're wondering if their new feelings for each other can withstand the pressure…but they are not going down without a fight.
