Top things everyone should know about Jane.

1. Always impeccably dressed. It’s really annoying, honestly, but only because I’m her houseguest and feel like a schlub. Nicole agrees.

2. There are muffins here as big as my damn head. NOM.

3. When in the vicinity of Jane, one can charge one’s iPhone wherever one is. It’s like of like that urban legend that in New Jersey you’re never more than 10 miles from a mall, except here, you’re never more than ten feet from an iPhone charger. Including in the car. That’s just awesome.

4. There are book freaking everywhere. This is probably not a surprise to anyone.

5. For tonight’s blogger party, I have heard rumors of cake - this may set Jane at 99.9% on the scale of hottiness. Downslide be damned. I love cake.

6. Blogger party? Yes! Blogger Party! Tonight at 6-8pm at the Des Moines Social Club there will be bloggers, a bar, and much partying - all organized by Jane. Woot!

As much as I wish I could be there (oh, and I do so wish!) at least I am comforted by the thought of so much romance subversion gathered in one place in the pulsing, heaving heart of the Heartland.

Sounds like fun!

Part of me would like to spend extended time in Jane’s company, hoping that some of that efficiency and put-togetherness would rub off on me. The other part of me is scared of that much efficiency and put-togetherness!

I can’t believe I forgot to get giant muffins while I was in Des Moines! Those muffins are the best; my boss would bring them to work all the time last year.
