If you’re in the mood for a lovely, tender fantasy novel about belonging and one that feels more like a long, relaxing bath than a hot, intense shower will all of the fancy pressure and pulsating settings you can imagine, you’ll love this one. It’s a soothing pick for when you hope to take comfort in a book
The Dating Charade by Melissa Ferguson is $2.99! This is more fiction with romantic elements, as reviews say the main characters’ storylines deal heavily with being caretakers. It’s also an inspie, if I believe. Have you read this one?
RECOMMENDED: Wrong to Need You by Alisha Rai is $3.99! So many of Avon’s titles are $3.99 right now and I’m including a couple in this post. This is the notorious cat pee book. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, read Elyse’s review:
I do not think I can possibly endorse Wrong to Need You more strongly than “it will make you forget you’re sitting in cat pee,” but if I could, I would, because this book is everything wonderful. It’s angsty and cathartic and sexy…
At the Billionaire’s Wedding is $2.99! This book features a handful of favorite authors: Maya Rodale, Caroline Linden, Katharine Ashe, and Miranda Neville. Normally, these authors write amazing historical romances, but this a contemporary romance anthology with billionaires. My favorite story of the bunch was Linden’s “Will You Be My Wi-Fi?”
RECOMMENDED: The Ones Who Got Away by Roni Loren is $2.99! This romance came out in January and I really enjoyed it and its portrayal of people living with trauma. I gave it a B+, but as it deals with victims of gun violence, I completely understand why readers may want to avoid it.
If the subject matter doesn’t scare you off and your catnip is friends to lovers, slow burn-y goodness, The Ones Who Got Away is highly worth the read.
Damsel in Distress by Heather Graham is $2.99! This historical romance has a heroine who is a maiden by day, and a bandit by night. This is a reprint of the same book under Graham’s other pen name, Shannon Drake, just in case the book sounded familiar to anyone. Some readers though there was way too much going on, while others loved the sense of adventure.
RECOMMENDED: Amberlough by Lara Elena Donnelly is $2.99! Thank you to everyone who let us know about this sale! The book also has a new cover. I like it, but I’m not sure if I like it more than the old one. What do you think? Carrie read this one and really loved it, giving it an A. However, she warns of a cliffhanger. The next book is out May 15th!
Can you feel the excitement as we reveal the cover of Susanna Kearsley’s upcoming Bellewether? Her previous covers have a similar look. They remind me of a whimsical, old photo, but this new cover is a big departure. Interested in the upcoming Bellewether or haven’t heard about it yet? Here’s the plot synopsis: “The house, when I first saw it, seemed intent on guarding what it knew; but we all learned, by the end of it, that secrets … Continue reading Exclusive Cover Reveal: Bellewether by Susanna Kearsley→
RECOMMENDED: The Shadowy Horses by Susanna Kearsley is $1.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and it’s being price-matched! Kearsley is a wonderfully evocative writer, blending historical, paranormal, mystery and romance into rich and absorbing books. However, others felt this isn’t one of Kearsley’s strongest works. Have you read this one?
Rogue Desire is available to preorder for 99c! This is an anthology being released July 20th, featuring resistance/protest themed romances. It includes stories from Amy Jo Cousins, Tamsen Parker, Adriana Anders, and more! I’m really excited about this and I know Redheadedgirl is as well.
Burning Bright by Megan Hart, KK Hendin, Stacey Agdern, and Jennifer Gracen is 99c! This is a Hanukkah romance anthology with a foreword by our very own Sarah! A lot of readers found it refreshing to finally have an anthology celebrating Hanukkah. However, some readers thought the collection was imbalanced.
