Dukes Do It Better by Bethany Bennett is $1.99! This is the third book in the Misfits of Mayfair series; we’ve feature the previous two books on sale before. I don’t love how this cover design is a departure from the other books.
The Wolf and the Woodsman by Ava Reid is $1.99! This fantasy debut was a previous Hide Your Wallet pick for me and I was definitely curious about the Hungarian history. The description also made me think there might be a romance. Have any of you read it?
Breaking Badger by Shelly Laurenston is $1.99! This is book four in the Honey Badger Chronicles series. This one came out at the end of August and was mentioned on Hide Your Wallet. What do we think of the new covers?
Jade City by Fonda Lee is $2.99! This adult fantasy novel incredibly violent, according to reviews. But readers loved the world building and threads of mythology weaved into the story. To be honest, the book sounds intense and awesome, and a great follow up if you just watched Shangi Chi.
Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo is $4.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal. This is Bardugo’s first adult fantasy novel and I want to warn of some graphic depictions of violence and body horror. The first chapter or so should give you a good picture on whether it’s for you.
Anchored Hearts by Priscilla Oliveras is $1.99! This is book two in the Keys to Love series and has a second chance romance. This isn’t my favorite trope, but I enjoyed this book. If you like really emotional contemporaries, this will tick that box.
RECOMMENDED: Playing House by Ruby Lang is $2.99! Aarya gave it a B:
It’s a must-read for the summer if you’re looking for an adorable, empathetic, and joyful romance.
I encourage you to pick up Playing House to transport you into another world for a few hours. It might be the escape you desperately need; it certainly was for me.
I love a good yarn (in all senses of the word) and this book delivers a belter. This is an historical romance that feels fresh, vibrant and made me sing the Good Book Noise.
RECOMMENDED: Monster She Wrote by Lisa Kröger and Melanie R. Anderson is $2.99! This is a price-matched Kindle Daily Deal. Carrie loved this one and gave it an A:
I can’t emphasize enough how well this collection hits the sweet spot of fun (Quotes! Illustrations! Anecdotes! Humor!) and informative. I will be using this book as a resource frequently.
The book is a coming-of-age story in the purest sense. Things happen, but it all comes down to Juliet developing a new sense of confidence, a new way to think about herself and the world around her, and a new sense of who she wants to be
A new grandbaby, horrific winters with nine-plus feet of snow, and BOOKS! Recorded in late 2019, Jill Shalvis and I talk about new titles that were about to come out – which are totally out now, so you can grab whatever sounds like your reading catnip. We also talk about her career, beginning with writing category romances, writing single title and now women’s fiction – and how to define the combined elements of a genre. … Continue reading 387.
