My neighbor’s lawn is half covered by lily of the valley, and I want to take the deepest breaths of my life when we walk by. It smells impossibly good.   And then there’s my other neighbor who grows poppies! I … Continue reading How’s it Going with You?

Books on Sale: Tiffany Girl by Deeanne Gist & More

RECOMMENDEDTiffany Girl by Deeanne Gist is $1.99! This is an American historical romance. Redheadedgirl read the book after hearing about it on a panel at a previous RT conference, and she gave it a B+:

I loved this and chewed through it like someone was going to take it away from me, and I’m totally going to check out more of Gist’s work.  She writes specifically American historicals, which are kind of sparse on the ground lately, and are a refreshing change of pace from the English historicals.

The Rec League: Sarah, Plain & Tall

The Rec League - heart shaped chocolate resting on the edge of a very old book

This request comes from Grace. Thanks, Grace! I have a weirdly specific rec request. I guess you could just call it mail order brides, but more specifically: Sarah Plain & Tall vibes? I’ve been re-watching the Sarah Plain & Tall movies with my grandma lately. I’ve loved the book & movies all my life and they were VERY formative in becoming a romance addict, but being from the kids’ POV, we only see an outside … Continue reading The Rec League: Sarah, Plain & Tall
