Happy Hump Day! It’s Wednesday and that’s the day where we talk about good things on the internet. My brain is all over the place since I’m getting ready to attend Book Expo America and BookCon in New York this weekend.

Love the horror genre and want to read more diverse voices in horror? Then check out this Kickstarter for Malaise, a horror anthology. I’ve had great luck backing books on Kickstarter and have been very happy with the results. The book will be an estimated 250 pages with nine confirmed contributors.

I’ve stumbled across a new YouTube channel that I absolutely love! Glitter and Lazers is a plus-size fashion channel. The creator, who I will call Glitter, is so funny, frequently breaks out into song, and has a lot of insight on what things work on plus-size bodies. She’s just a great breath of fresh air.

Queens of Infamy by Anne Thériault is a series that “focuses on badass world-historical women of centuries past.” The latest edition is Anne Boleyn:
Personally, I’m Team Anne Boleyn. My reasons for this are multifold. As an Anne, I am naturally sympathetic to others of my name. I also can’t help rooting for an underdog, and if being beheaded because your crusty husband wants to marry Jane Fucking Seymour doesn’t make you an underdog, I don’t know what does. Finally, I respect a good hustle, and Anne’s hustle was iconic — my god, how she hustled! Even if you think Anne Boleyn was a king-seducing homewrecker extraordinaire, it’s impossible not to appreciate the sheer audacity of it all.
Thériault has a charming voice that makes these long reads so easy to digest.

Have I posted about Queen of Luna before? If you love geek culture and makeup artistry, give her Instagram a follow.

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!
I made such a noise when I scrolled down to Queen of Luna’s Shego and Kim Possible. Good god, I miss that show.
Have a great time on your NYC book weeknd! Eager to hear about different book cons. I’m considering Apollycon in DC next spring.
Fell into Glitter and Lasers and took too long to climb back out. Fun! Thanks for the link.
Dal Maclean and Josh Lanyon had a fascinating discussion over at Josh’s blog on the taboo of infidelity in romance writing:
http://joshlanyon.blogspot.com/2018/05/your-cheatin-heart-will-tell-on-you.html?m=1
I personally feel it takes a very good writer to make infidelity work in romance – I was more alarmed to find that some readers are ok with abuse (!!) but draw the line at infidelity
I LOVED the Queen of Luna photos. Her portfolio is AMAZING! I wonder if those are all of her own scarves or if she had to specifically find new ones that would work. Sometimes she couldn’t quite recreate the effect of the character’s hair (I didn’t think that Ballroom Belle landed) but, for the most part, Wow. I saw Jem and Aja; I’m now waiting on Shana and Kimber.
@Ren Benton: Jeff Adams has mentioned KIM POSSIBLE as a heavy source of inspiration for his m/m YA CODENAME:WINGER spy series. Also, the original Jim and Tim Possible, Shaun Fleming, grew up to become one of my very favorite rock stars. (His psych/glam/soul combo Diane Coffee is not to be missed if they come to your town, and he also drums for Foxygen from time to time)
