Help A Bitch Out - SOLVED!

HaBO: Contemporary Trilogy Set in Detroit

You did it! We figured this one out! It is a truth universally acknowledged (by me for certain) that the Bitchery pretty much knows everything, and really, it's true. Scroll down to see the solution for this HaBO - and many thanks!

This HaBO is from Alex, who is looking for a particular series:

My HaBO is a series of contemporaries, a trilogy maybe, about best friends who live in Detroit. Sugar House Bar is featured in at least one. I’m 90% sure I got at least one of them from Kindle Unlimited sometime last year.

The heroine of the first book is young and owns a dance studio. Her apartment is broken into and the cop hero, who responds to the complaint, is her now-hot former high school bully who is, of course, Complicated. She has a particular fantasy about being handcuffed in the shower by Brad Pitt?

One of the books might possibly feature a Traverse City vineyard/resort? And another definitely involves a workaholic event planner heroine who wants to buy an amazing historic home in Indian Village maybe?

And of course they all end HEA.

You’d think with all this detail I could find this series no problem, but you would not believe my Google combinations that have come up with zilch.

These sound super fun! I hope we can HaBO the crap out of this one!

  2. Erin says:

OMG I know one! I just finished books 1 and 2 in the series! It’s the Frenched series, by Melanie Harlow.

  3. Amanda says:

Are you thinking about Floored by Melanie Harlow? That’s #3 in the series but it sounds extremely similar.

  4. hng23 says:

@Amanda, that’s it,you beat me to it. Just read it last week & laughed a lot.

  5. Carol S says:

Hey, there’s a book by Melanie Harlow that is FREE for Kindle today: Some Sort of Happy.

  6. DiscoDollyDeb says:

SOME SORT OF HAPPY is a really good book about loving someone with mental illness (the hero has severe OCD)—and it’s free right now, so give it a chance. I love Melanie Harlow—AFTER WE FALL is on my keeper shelf.

  7. Alex says:

Hi it’s Alex! Yes it IS the Melanie Harlow series! I LOvE these
    books! Thanks team!

  8. Lisa S. says:

“Frenched” is also currently included as part of Audible’s Romance Package if anyone out there would like to take a listen.

  9. Gigi says:

I was thinking these sound like they are so my jam. Then Amazon tells me I already own them all. Being a book hoarder can be a very good thing sometimes.

  10. Laurie says:

It is the Melanie Harlow series – Frenched, Forked & Floored. There is also a novella, Yanked. Her Speak Easy duet also has a connection, which I will not spoil.

  11. Ashley says:

I loved that series as well. I REALLY loved the After we Fall series. And the Some Sort Of series. Basically if she writes it – I want it.
