This HaBO is from K. Rilea, who is searching for what seems a scifi romance or possible a scifi romance series:
I’m looking for a book that was about aliens mating with human women who were selected into different planet types, water, air etc.
The scene I remember is the women were in the air in plastic bubbles and the bottoms dropped out and they fell towards Earth and the alien men had to fly up from the ground and grab them. There was a fight in the air where one tried to grab a girl from someone else.
I don’t know if that is enough detail to spark someone’s memory but I know HaBO has had great success with obscure books.
Alien space battle!
Teeheeheehee. And I thought I knew sci-fi.
But… but… what if they didn’t catch her?? O.O
Possibly Gena Showalter’s Alien Huntress series? It’s been a long time since I read them tho
Ooooh, I love sci-fi romances. The description sparks memories about a book that I put down after the first chapter. Did yours have an asshole alpha hero? If so I’ll try to remember the name of it. It was part of a series for sure.
Zoey Draven-The Alien’s Prize ?
Elemental Warriors series by Ashey West?
I thought I would have this one, I think of SF/F as my thing, but I am drawing a complete blank on plastc bubbles raining down women!
It’s not Alien Huntress.
I remember the hero(es) being really nice. In the same book or series, the water aliens had to swim through maze to get to the earth girls. It has been driving me crazy trying to remember the author. How could I forget with such wild plots??
@Kim, i hope the book is found in this site; but if you finf it elsewere, I’d be very grateful if you post the tittle here so I can read it. Sounds original and fun.
Good Luck!!
@Cayenne This is the first question I had!
Also, it sounds a bit like the Triwizard Tournament from Harry Potter so I hope someone knows the answer cause I’d be all in on reading this series.
I think that it might be this series: Dragon Lords of Valdier by S.E. Smith. Good luck!
In my Goodreads tags I have one I call “intergalactic nonsense” because i find it very hard to buy into the idea that extraterrestrials and human beings can have viable offspring.
