This HaBO is from Dawn, who read an excerpt of this book and needs to find it:
I never even got to read this book! It was a blurb in the back of another book and I could never find it again.
It was about three friends who started a detective agency. They were in the lobby of a fancy hotel maybe getting ready to sneak into someone’s room, and one of the girls was afraid she saw someone that she knew wh owould blow their cover. I think maybe it was an old boyfriend. She started to panic, muttering to herself something like of all the hotels in the city I have to see him here, now
Come on, Bitchery. Harness your power!
Omg—I know I’ve read this—or something very similar. Didn’t it start when one of the women was tracking her unfaithful husband/boyfriend and she was able to successfully hack his electronics? The other friend was so impressed, she said they should start a detective agency together. At one point, the agency is hired to investigate a man but it turns out he’s not being unfaithful, his wife (the client) is. I want to say Julie James or Victoria Dahl, but neither sounds right.
Try “Shame on Me” and “Shame on You” by Tara Sivec. Three friends with a detective agency of their own. There may be more books than those two.
Is it the Pertners in Crime series by Jacey Ford? The first one is Dangerous Curves. Crazy-ass suspend-your-disbelief in every dang thing series, but the 1st one especially, is fun.
I was also going to suggest Tara Sivec.
@Kitty Those look like fun books. Appears to be a trilogy, one for each member of the detective agency. And they are available on Kindle Unlimited! Which is great because I picked up a trial subscription a few months ago and have not had the time to dig through the offerings for intriguing titles.
@Andrea They were nice, easy reads.
All the suggested titles sound like fun
